Winner of a conditions hurdle in France before making a satisfactory British debut last month. Picks up a penalty for that success in his homeland but the gelding is going the right way and has to be worthy of consideration again here.

Stoutly bred and certainly catches the eye in terms of breeding. Also positive that the colt represents an in-form yard, so a would have to be of interest if the betting market vibes are positive.

Registered three poor efforts on the Flat and makes very limited appeal now the gelding switches codes. (Has undergone a wind operation since last seen.)

Rated in the mid-sixties on the Flat in Ireland but has yet to win a race form 9 starts. Likely his stable has a stronger contender in the shape of Sable Island.
6
Horse silk
22/1
Winner of a modest maiden auction on the Flat at Lingfield but seemed to lose his way pretty quickly afterwards. Plenty to prove on hurdles debut a probably best watched.
7

20/1
Best effort to date when second in a bumper at Carlisle in November but did impress when well held on hurdles debut last month. Big improvement required.

Regressive on the Flat and posted very little to get enthusiastic about on hurdles debut at Catterick last week. Other hold much stronger claims.

Oistrakh Le Noir (4/9), Antunes (7/2), Sable Island (9/2), Simafar (10/1), Zoltan Varga (20/1), Working Class (22/1), Hamelin Pool (200/1), Tael O' Gold (250/1)

Verdict

It may be worth chancing a small investment in the well-bred ANTUNES being primed and ready for his racecourse debut. The colt represents a yard in flying form and, given his likable breeding, it's entierly feasible he could deliver at the first time of asking. Oistrakh Le Noir was far from disgraced on his British debut at Ascot last month and has to be respected as a lively alternative despite his penalty for winning in France. Richard Johnson keeping faith with Sable Island, who may improve for the fitting of a tongue ties, is a boost for the Olly Murphy-trained gelding, who is forwarded as the best of the rest.
