10/1
Best effort in three starts since joining this yard from France came when finishing 10L third at Fontwell (good) in November. Held when falling last time and likely more needed today.

Don Lami52
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Aidan Coleman| T: A J Honeyball| BF
11/10
Impressive point-to-point winner and recorded a bumper victory at Fontwell (good) on debut in November. Could finish only second over an extended 3m on hurdling debut at Doncaster (good) last time and remains of interest dropping in trip.
Only glimpses of ability in bumpers and pulled up at Ludlow (2m5f, soft) on last months hurdling debut. Others make more appeal today.

200/1
Returning from over two years off the track and pulled hard prior to falling at the first on hurdling debut at Chepstow (heavy) last month. Wears a tongue tie for the first time today.
6
Horse silk
25/1
Placed twice in point-to-point company prior to finishing third of five in a heavy ground Ffos Las bumper on sole start for Daniel Loughnane. Returns from a long lay-off on his hurdling debut for a new yard.

Monbeg Oscar26
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  120| BF
5/1
Placed four times from six outings under rules including when finishing runner-up at Ludlow (2m, soft) last time out. Disappointed over an extended 2m7f in handicap company prior to that is one to note today.
8
Horse silk
100/1
Finished runner-up in the second of two point-to-point starts but slipped up early on when making his rules debut in December and pulled up on first hurdles start subsequently. Wears a hood for the first time today.
Unraced daughter of Midnight Legend out of a dual winning point-to-pointer. Worth a check in the market on today's racecourse debut.

Echo Watth111
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: J J Burke| T: R Hobson
33/1
Bumper winner on heavy ground at Ffos Las in December but disappointed on hurdling debut at Sandown (2m, heavy) subsequently and unseated at the first last time. Wears a hood for the first time in this contest.

Forecasts

Don Lami (11/10), Boreham Bill (15/8), Monbeg Oscar (5/1), Dakkar Collonges (10/1), Hurricane Dylan (25/1), Echo Watt (33/1), Midnight Cheers (50/1), General Malarkey (66/1), The Cannister Man (100/1), Golden Sandstorm (200/1)

Verdict

DON LAMI can get off the mark at the second time of asking over hurdles by registering his second rules victory in this 2m4f novice hurdle. The selection put in a decent effort in defeat on hurdling debut last time and can see off the useful bumper performer Boreham Bill and in the process improve on trainer Anthony Honeyball's current 29% strike-rate (2/7). Monbeg Oscar was an expensive purchase the sales in the spring of 2016 and he can register a fifth placed effort in six starts over hurdles by claiming third.
  1. Don Lami
  2. Boreham Bill
  3. Monbeg Oscar
