Early casualty at Market Rasen on his penultimate outing but performed better when finishing second in a four runner event at Fontwell (2m2f, heavy) last time. Interesting runner today.
Well beaten in three completions since joining this stable from Ireland. Handicap mark is falling as a result and wears a tongue tie for the first time today.
Dual winner at Worcester in the spring of 2016. Unraced since finishing third at Newton Abbot in July of that year and probably best watched on his return from a lengthy absence.
Running well in defeat for most of 2017 including when finishing 1L second at Market Rasen (2m3f, good-to-soft) in November. Drops in trip today having had his stamina limitations exposed subsequently.
Returned to form when finishing 3L second at Sedgefield (soft) over an extended 2m in December. Raised 2lb for that effort and is one to note in this contest.
Finished in the frame in three of his last four starts most recently when third over hurdles at Fakenham (2m, heavy) last month. Remains on a mark 8lb higher than for his latest success.
Forecasts
Elkstone (11/4), Keel Haul (4/1), Ulis De Vassy (9/2), Little Jimmy (6/1), Myroundorurs (7/1), Yourholidayisover (7/1), Frontline (25/1)
ULIS DE VASSY can register his sixth career success by taking this handicap chase over just short of 2m. The selection was returning to form when second last time out and racing off a mark considerably lower than for his most recent victory he can take this at the chief expense of Keel Haul who put in one of his better efforts when finishing second last time. The drop int rip looks likely to suit Elkstone and he can finish third.
