Won 2m4f point-to-point over a year ago and bought for £75,000 after that but not yet seen under rules. Taken out of recent intended Kelso debut with self-certificate. Promising pedigree and yard has had three bumpers wins this season. Market check.

Won sole Irish point-to-point and then bought for €75,000. 13-8 and made good debut on heavy at Bangor last month, beaten just over 3L. Looks a leading contender on that evidence.

Soft ground Irish point-to-point winner in November and sold soon after for £65,000. Stable 0-16 in bumpers this season and pedigree suggests he may be one to watch until jumping an obstacle, though market check prudent.
Dam an unraced full-sister to 2m6f-3m1f chase winner Plum Pudding out of a French 1m4f-1m6½f winner. Yard 22% in this sphere this season, so despite modest pedigree he is another well worth a market check.

Looked like the winner of an Irish point-to-point before falling at the last in October 2016. Bought for £65,000 shortly after. 3-1 and weakened to be 10½L fourth on debut in Warwick bumper. Needs to step up on that.
Cost 25,000 gns as a yearling. Bred for the Flat, with both speed and stamina in pedigree. Stable just 2-49 in bumpers in recent seasons and probably one to watch.
Sent off at 10-1 and although no chance with the odds-on favourite that day, he shrugged off some greenness to come home well and be a 9L second. Handles heavy on that evidence and could get closer today. Player.

Improved on his debut when a 13L fourth, almost 4L behind Informateur, at Haydock (heavy) last time. Can take another step up today and probably has frame claims.
11-1 and ran well despite the lack of pace in the bumper he contested at Market Rasen (good to soft) on debut in November. Has been given time before this return, pedigree gives hope that he will handle the ground. Interesting.

Closely related to bumper/2m-3m hurdle/smart chase winner Pendra. Dam also won a bumper and was smart over hurdles/fences. In-form stable's only previous bumper winner was here (1-13 plus two placed). Market check.

Pulled up/well held in point-to-points and then 50-1 ans beaten 77L on debut under rules in a Cork bumper last April. Needs a lot of improvement on that on debut for stable that is 1-8 in this sphere this season.

Did managed to get involved to some extent when 50-1 and eventually a 16L eighth on debut at Musselburgh in November. Stable 2-22 in bumpers this season and he looks a probable improver.

Forecasts

Tupolev (10/3), Norman Stanley (4/1), Black Pirate (9/2), Supremely Lucky (6/1), Court Master (13/2), Dette De Jeu (15/2), Informateur (9/1), Burns Cross (10/1), Doc Penfro (20/1), Multitalented (25/1), Ska Ridge (33/1), Wor Verge (50/1), Frozen Out (50/1), Whostosay (66/1)

Verdict

The market should help to give us a nudge in the right direction here as there are a number of interesting runners on paper. Dan Skelton's Supremely Lucky is one of those, while Tupolev has the right sort of pedigree and could go well on debut. Norman Stanley could emerge as a contender on this ground and others of interest include Informateur, Dette De Jeu and Black Pirate. However, the suggestion is BURNS CROSS, who represents a stable going quite well, handled heavy ground when making a good debut and has that all important experience on his side this time.
  1. Burns Cross
  2. Supremely Lucky
  3. Informateur
