Beaten at odds-on when last seen at Southwell in November, but had previously run the smart On The Blind Side close at Aintree. Has had a wind operation and wears a tongue tie for the first time.

Dual bumper winner who is still looking for his first win over hurdles after four attempts. Boasts a fair level of form, however, and last run over 3m at Taunton was respectable. Better ground and shorter trip should help.

Decent bumper horse who has shown ability over hurdles. but was beaten a long way on soft ground at Newcastle last time. Should get a more suitable surface this time, but looks to have a bit to find with the top two.

Won two of his three starts in bumpers and two starts over hurdles have not been devoid of promise even though she needs to brush up her jumping. Likely to win races over timber, but this looks a fairly big ask.

Forecasts

Another Stowaway (1/1), Coup De Pinceau (6/4), Imperial Eloquence (8/1), Tokaramore (12/1)

Verdict

An interesting opener despite the lack of numbers. Tokamore remains promising but may find her southern rivals more streetwise, while Imperial Eloquence has not been able to translate his bumper form to hurdles so far. Coup De Pinceau should appreciate this better ground, but ANOTHER STOWAWAY looks the one to beat. His good second to a talented performer at Aintree two starts ago reads well and he should be able to take care of these rivals if all is well following a wind operation and the first-time tongue tie also helps.
  1. Another Stowaway
  2. Coup De Pinceau
  3. Imperial Eloquence
