Typically well placed to win six of his 10 starts on ground from good-heavy and Grade 1 second over hurdles. Stepped up to 2m3f and recorded easy 7L win here (soft) on chase debut earlier in month and could be ever better over this trip. Claims.

Improved for his Exeter chase debut (3m, good) when returning to that venue to win a novices' handicap (good to soft) from a mark of 135. Didn't appear to get home over 3m2f in a Cheltenham Grade 3 last time but has ability and can get competitive.

Won a point-to-point at the seventh attempt last March. The form of that looks way below the capabilities of the other three in this field and, while he can jump round and pick up some prize money, it would be a shock if he makes a winning debut.

Dual hurdles winner at up to 2m7f, including on heavy and rated 140 in that sphere. Well beaten in Grade 3 when last seen. Now tries chasing and has a good pedigree for it. Best off at weights here, so could go close granted a good round of jumping.

Forecasts

Mount Mews (5/4), Wotzizname (2/1), Robbin'hannon (5/2), Native Gamut (100/1)

Verdict

An interesting contest here when Robbin'hannon is slightly favoured at the weights on official ratings and is certainly not taken on lightly, but MOUNT MEWS looked very much like a chaser with a future when scoring here on his recent chase debut and can defy a penalty and follow up, with this extra half mile or so another reason for potential improvement. Wotzizname stays well and it still unexposed, though he too carries a penalty and may have to settle for place money again this time.
