Won on her handicap debut at Chepstow (2m, heavy) in November and improved on that in a stronger race at Warwick last time. From the same mark today she will need a bit more improvement, but that looks possible and she has claims.
Yet to make frame in eight starts under both codes. Closest she has come was on hurdles debut at Market Rasen (2m½f, good to soft) last season. Ran well for a long way at Chepstow last time, but weakened on heavy ground there, which is a concern.
Sole success came in a Ludlow bumper (good) in 2015 and her form in that sphere was decent. Has run well over C&D (soft) since going hurdling. Poor reappearance effort to shrug off, but becoming more interesting now 13lb lower than initial mark.
Hasn't given punters a huge amount to hang their hats on, but did put in her best effort over hurdles at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good to soft) in November when a 6L third. Didn't get home at Wetherby (3m) last time. 8lb claim useful and not ruled out.
It took her seven attempts to win an Irish point-to-point and she is now 0-13 under rules, though has been knocking on the door a little more firmly of late. Trip/ground both fine for her and she should be able to pick up some more prize money.
Well held in all five starts since returning from a 19-month absence in February last year. Has had a win op since when last seen beaten 38L from 4lb higher over C&D last month. Good pilot booked, so check market for hints at improvement.
Sole win came in a Ffos Las handicap hurdle (2m, good) in April 2015 from a 13lb higher mark. It is now almost two years since she showed any worthwhile form and from 6lb 'wrong' she is readily opposed.
Forecasts
Shroughmore Lass (11/8), Tara Well (9/4), Psychocandy (5/1), Alizee Javilex (8/1), Hepburn (16/1), The Golden Hour (20/1), Passing Fiesta (33/1)
A weak contest can go to SHROUGHMORE LASS, who is proven in these conditions, unexposed and looks capable of better now stepped up in trip. Keep an eye on the market for signs of a revival from The Golden Hour on her first start post-wind surgery, while Tara Well looks capable of making the frame again and Psychocandy is another interesting contender.
