Ex-Gordon Elliott inmate, has shaped well enough in trio of hurdles outing since joining this trainer, if not always being the most straightforward. Cheekpieces tried now and drop in trip. Should go close.
Shock winner of the Cambridgeshire Handicap on Flat in September having gone off 50/1. First start over jumps and rates as an interesting recruit to this game. Big contender if jumping is up to scratch.
Well held in bumper / hurdles run in Ireland for Edward Stanners. Joined Olly Murphy, who can likely get something more from him in time but would be a major shock to see him winning first time out for the yard on return from 252 days off.
Well beaten in pair of maiden hurdles at this course already. Third runner for trainer in this line-up and makes little appeal on form.
Winner of three Flat races in the Czech Republic before joining current yard but pulled up both starts over hurdles so far, coming 23 months apart. Lost action 11 days ago at Leicester and bi-part role predicted here.
Plenty of promise in novice/maiden hurdle events in 2015/16 and decent effort on return from long absence at Towcester in November. Didn't back that up over C&D last month but may be worth another chance.
Moderate on the Flat, sent off 250/1 on hurdles debut at Catterick recently, attempted to make all but faded rapidly in closing stages and trailed home some 70+L behind. Hard to make case for here.
Forecasts
Dolphin Vista (4/9), Captiva Island (3/1), Potters Midnight (6/1), No Alarm (33/1), Flynnvincible (50/1), Sanok (100/1), Investigation (150/1)
Anything but strong on paper and first-time jumper DOLPHIN VISTA looks to have been found a good starting place by Martyn Meade. A winner of the Cambridgeshire in September, he was rated 102 on the Flat and will take some stopping granted a clear round. Captiva Island looks the main danger but he hasn't proved entirely straightforward and needs the cheekpieces to help. Potters Midnight also has some potential but his effort over C&D 34 days ago suggests he'll be bidding for minor money.
