Horse A-Z
Landed a Ludlow bumper before wining well on his hurdling debut at Leicester. This is a tougher race, but the full extent of his ability has probably yet to be revealed.

Untroubled to land a Southwell bumper before failing to give weight away to a talented sort in a better contest at Kempton. Belated seasonal reappearance and first attempt over hurdles, but is well regarded and will have been well prepared.

Dual bumper scorer who has been placed in both starts over timber, on the latter occasion finishing behind a subsequent winner. Sure to win races along the line, but one or two of his rivals look more convincing.

66/1
Point-to-point winner who has been well held in a bumper and maiden hurdle. Looks a long-term prospect and is best watched until revealing more.
Winner of one of his three runs in point-to-points , but has shown only limited promise in a bumper and two novice hurdles. Plenty to prove for the time being.

Landed an Irish point-to-point in April, 2016, but has not been sighted since. Likely to need this first start over hurdles, but is one to keep an eye on with the future in mind.

Forecasts

Vinndication (2/1), Champ (2/1), Just A Sting (2/1), Santini (7/2), Mere Ironmonger (16/1), Quarry Leader (18/1), Overworkdunderpaid (20/1), Imperial Eloquence (25/1), Lord Getaway (66/1)

Verdict

The unbeaten Vinndication warrants plenty of respect and Just A Sting should be winning soon, but the champion trainer holds the key to this contest in SANTINI and Champ. The selection's form has been franked by the two subsequent wins of his closest victim at Newbury and he gets a narrow vote to beat his stable companion, who has always had a decent reputation and is sure to have been well schooled for this hurdling debut.
  1. Santini
  2. Champ
  3. Vinndication
