Won a weak Chepstow bumper (2m good) on debut in December 2016 for Dan Skelton, but then struggled under a penalty in a couple of subsequent starts. Off since March 2017, and has moved on to another trainer. Hurdling awaits.

Cost £30,000 as a three-year-old, and this Winged Love gelding really looked the part when beating Going Gold and subsequent winner Return Ticket in a Catterick bumper on debut (2m good to soft). Sets the solid benchmark with progress anticipated.

€130,000 son of Yeats who has had wind surgery (tongue tied today) since finishing a well beaten fifth of 11 at Carlisle in April (2m1f good to soft). Plenty to offer, but possibly with more experience gathered, and over hurdles/fences.
Cheap purchase (£2,800) who was brought down when well beaten on debut at Sedgefield. Trainer not known for bumper winners so probably best watched.

Ran a stinker at Hereford on his second start, and looked rather quirky throughout both the prelims and during the race. Has had wind surgery since his last start (tongue tied today), but definitely one to have reservations about at present.
Proved himself to be a bargain buy at £800 (£33,000 yearling) by winning on debut in a 1m6f junior bumper at Newcastle in December (soft). Shouldn't be troubled by this extra yardage at an easy track, but meets his elders for the first time today.
Unraced mare by Oscar out of a very moderate dam who was a half-sister to Trabolgan. Ninth foal who cost €3,000 as a three-year-old.

Closely related to 1m AW winner Roller, this Cacique gelding cost 5,000 gns in February 2017, and has done little wrong so far in making the frame in a couple of Class 6 1m5f bumpers. Receives weight all round, so that's most helpful.

Verdict

A National Hunt Flat race to conclude the Musselburgh action, and with wind surgery declared for the first time publicly, we can say definitively that the tongue tied pair Dr Hooves and Wimpole have had 'treatment' since their latest starts. In any case, we digress from the most intriguing horse in this race, and perhaps over the course of the afternoon. I'M TO BLAME made a strong positive impression when scoring on debut at Catterick in late November, and that form has been franked by the third placed horse Return Ticket (Malcolm Jefferson) winning at the same North Yorkshire venue next time. Brian Hughes takes over in the saddle from Craig Nichol aboard the Keith Dalgleish trained five-year-old, and that pair are to be ever feared in these type of races, so I'm To Blame rates as NAP material. Star of Lanka should come out second best assuming that he can cope with the demands of a much sharper track than Newcastle, and isn't over-phased by tackling his elders for the first time.
