Well beaten in all four starts during his career, and pulled up on hurdles debut at Worcester in October. Returns off a break wearing a first time tongue tie.

Very lightly raced for his age, and off the track since March 2014, but his trainer must have witnessed something at home in order to persevere in terms of training. Watching brief only.
Back from two years off the track with a placed effort (third) on hurdles debut over 2m4f, heavy, at Ffos Las in December. One to monitor closely in the market with improvement a strong possibility.

Shown some minor promise in bumpers, and still early days to be taking a definitive view over hurdles, but his Chepstow effort earlier this month was none too convincing.
Unraced fifth foal by Witness Box out of an unraced (but well related) dam. Cost £20,000 as a juvenile, and is surely the pick of the trainers two representatives.

Well held on his bumper debut in February, he hardly made much more of an impression when tried over hurdles for the first time 10 weeks later. Jumped with little fluency there and more needed in order to play a part.
Has failed to stand out from the crowd in a couple of starts in bumpers (back marker). Cost €36,000 as a three-year-old, and whilst out of a German Flat winning dam, he should do better now encountering obstacles.

Showed that ability lurks beneath in point-to-points, but disappointing since switched to rules racing. Always in the rear on stable and hurdles debut at Taunton in December (2m), but the benefits of this longer trip shouldn't go amiss.

Shown very little in four starts so far, and there would appear to be little reason as to why to expect an improved showing from this mare.

Struggling from mid race in handicap company at Bangor in June (2m3f+ good), and she's another who is very challenging to build a case for, so readily dismissed off a break on her 13th start over hurdles.

Forecasts

Carole's Vigilante (1/3), Jurys Out (4/1), Murphy's Nails (9/1), Ticket To Ride (16/1), Call Carlo (16/1), Dr Wells (16/1), Russian Spy (25/1), Over To Midnight (33/1), Jimmy Bell (50/1), Dauphiness (50/1), Black Jack Jaxon (100/1)

Verdict

Far weaker than the first division of this contest half an hour earlier, and it's far easier to form a long list of those who can't win than a shortlist of those who might win. Jurys Out is something of an unknown quantity for Venetia Williams, and the market will prove the best guide to his chances, but the form claims of CAROLE'S VIGILANTE are difficult to ignore, with only a very slight concern being the 'bounce risk' on his second start back off a long break.
  1. Carole's Vigilante
  2. Jurys Out
  3. Dr Wells
