2-2 around here and just 1lb above his last winning mark. Good young rider on board and appeared to be running into form last time.
Has scored here previously but has finished last on his two most recent visits. On a dangerous mark if bouncing back.
Dundalk maiden winner back in January since but switched trainers soon after and yet to put in a truly convincing performance for this trainer.
Intriguing Irish runner from a yard that do well on their forays here, but are infrequent visitors here. No obvious chance on form but drops significantly in trip. The market should be informative.
Can be hard to settle and he does not stay more than a mile. Will be better for last month's return, but this extended trip from a poor draw is a concern given his record here.
Landed a seller last year and was placed here in August. Mark has plummeted during a lean spell for the yard, but there were positive signs last time and he has an experienced rider on board.
Needs everything to fall right for him as it did when produced on the bridle off a fast pace here in November. Well drawn and capable from this mark, but he takes some knowing and his young rider will need to learn fast.
Has failed to catch the eye in any of his runs and returns from a break over a shorter trip. Stable have used this rider to good effect over the past 12 months, but otherwise hard to be positive.
13-race maiden who runs to a consistent level. Failed to stay an extra furlong when more positively ridden last time, but enters calculations down another 2lb and back to this trip.
Has usually managed to pick up a race a year, but drew a blank in 2017 and last two runs have not been encouraging.
Debuts for new yard and would have claims on her 2016 form. Not so good last year and has an eight month absence to overcome.
Improved for the fitting of blinkers when fourth over C&D a month ago and when the slow pace would not have helped. Did not find much under pressure over 7f next time, but likely to come in for further support with a highly regarded rider on board.
Has proved inconsistent and has looked better over 7f. Tends to run well when supported so a market check is advised.
Forecasts
Muthraab Aldaar (3/1), D'waterside (4/1), John Honeyman (5/1), Joys Delight (15/2), Top Offer (9/1), Rock Icon (11/1), Chelwood Gate (14/1), Makhfar (14/1), Circling Vultures (18/1), Lesanti (33/1), World Of Good (50/1), Ok By Me (66/1), Gone With The Wind (66/1)
John Honeyman and Lesanti do not have the most appealing profiles, but both would have to enter calculations at this level if attracting support. D'waterside has been supported on his last two starts since headgear has been applied. So far he he has failed to deliver, but a decent gallop at this trip may help him do so. Joy's Delight makes each-way appeal as a consistent mare who has been given a chance by the handicapper, whilst Muthraab Aldaar is unbeaten around her and is back to fair mark, CHELWOOD GATE has dropped 14lb in the weights during a quiet year for the yard. He went well here in August off 7lb higher and attracted support prior to a good run last time. A top young rider has been secured and he is probably the one to be on.
- Chelwood Gate
- Joys Delight
- Muthraab Aldaar
