An open looking contest in which the principals are racing off marks that demand some improvement. That may help Toga Tiger who has been unable to escape the grip of the handicapper, but could find this the opportunity he deserves. Course specialist Fire Diamond looked unlucky last time and could take this if handling the step up in grade. Corked should set a good gallop and that will play into the hands of DELLAGUISTA and Favourite Royal. The former may be ahead of the handicapper as her style of racing will never see her win by wide margins. Tim Easterby's filly beat a strongly fancied and well-handicapped rival last time and the pair finished clear. She came through a crowd to score that day and there is probably plenty more to come.
