Showed a reasonable level of form early doors on turf, earning a crack at Listed company at Newbury in July (disappointing). In good order since returning from a break/switched to the AW, and has a chance of recording another 7f success.

Has a 50% strike rate on Polytrack, 2 from 4, with victories over 6f and 7f at Chelmsford. Beaten a fast diminishing ½L by Rusper at Lingfield on Saturday (1m), and looks a live threat off the same mark on Tapeta bow.

Off the mark at the third attempt over C&D in November, when making all to land an uncompetitive maiden. Struggled in better races since, and improvement required to reverse Wolverhampton placings with Jellmood. Wears a visor for the first time.

Shock 66/1 C&D winner on her third start in early November, but has carried herself well enough since despite being beaten in a claimer. Not all that much to do in order to reverse Wolverhampton placings with Jellmood.

Found plenty for pressure when taking a couple of 7f nurseries at Musselburgh during August 2017, but hasn't exactly taken a shine to the AW thus far. More needed against some largely in-form rivals, but not totally dismissed.

Forecasts

Joe's Spirit (13/8), Jellmood (9/4), Windsor Cross (7/2), Blue Harmony (7/1), Kikini Bamalaam (18/1)

Verdict

Jellmood took the scalp of both Blue Harmony and Windsor Cross when beaten just a neck by Guvenor's Choice at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day, and is taken to do so once more now dropped back to the 7f trip that he'd won over on his AW debut previously (Wolverhampton). However, he faces a formidable rival in the shape of JOE'S SPIRIT. Cameron Noble gave the Michael Bell trained gelding too much to do at Lingfield on Saturday when just unable to reel in Rusper, but this stiffer track should help to allay any concerns about a slight drop back in trip (to 7f), and he's a confident pick to make a winning start to his career on Tapeta (2 from 4 on Polytrack).
  1. Joe's Spirit
  2. Jellmood
  3. Blue Harmony
