Won a handicap hurdle off a 1lb higher mark in July last year beating 14 rivals on yielding ground over 3m but has subsequently completely lost his form since. Hard to fancy in current form.
Beaten 109L in three career maiden hurdles in the last four months in a series of torrid efforts despite the finishing positions. Yard certainly know the time of day and worth a chance on handicap debut.
Well beaten and no impression in two starts for current stable. Trainer does know the time of day though and improvement is sure to come sooner rather than later.
Vast improvement in a promising performance last time out on St Stephens Day when third of 17 beaten 1¼L. Big danger here kept to this trip.
Modest maiden hurdler in four career starts over timber beaten over 47L and sent of no lower than 80/1 on each occasion. Hard to fancy until showing at least a hint of ability.
Failed to finish in three point-to-point starts in the spring before failing to fire in three maiden hurdles later in the year well beaten over 40L on each occasion.
Not much to shout about in five hurdle starts including a 56L defeat on handicap debut last month at Limerick on heavy ground. First-time blinkers tried but others looks more persuasive.
Has not built on a 2½L win at Galway in October with two subsequent defeats last month including as beaten favourite on most recent start. Better than last run and worth a market check.
Now a five race maiden and no signs of any light at the end of the tunnel in a 39L defeat last time out in a Thurles handicap hurdle.
Big improvement on last start when second of 11 beaten 4¾L in a Punchestown handicap hurdle over 2m on St Stephens Day, but remains an 11-race maiden and hard to fancy in this company.
13-race maiden hurdler and well beaten on three starts since November. Requires a chunk of improvement to play a role here.
Mare who has appeared to lose her way in three handicap hurdle starts since October. Another tough assignment looks on the cards and has plenty to find in this company.
15-race maiden and is without a win in 11 starts over timber. Impossible to make a case for the gelding having failed to finish his last two efforts. Removal of cheekpieces unlikely to make a difference.
Well beaten and no impression in four career maiden hurdles before a shuddering 94L defeat on handicap debut here last month. Has plenty to find in this contest.
Forecasts
Graineyhill (4/5), Bee A Beneficiary (7/1), Glen's Dd (9/1), Crack On Corrie (12/1), Miss Mcilroy (14/1), Barna Venture (16/1), Dollydeschamps (16/1), Jimmyjames (25/1), Dorking (25/1), Oisin James (33/1), Rudy Catrail (33/1), Flamingo Lane (33/1), Paddytheirishman (66/1), The Jam Man (66/1)
Denis Hogan's Barna Venture could take the field along here in the early stages with Rudy Catrail, Crack On Corrie and Miss McIlroy chasing behind. Last time out beaten favourite Crack On Corrie could take advantage of the early pace with Bee A Beneficiary set to out-run his odds to possibly hit the frame while GRAINEYHILL improved for the drop in trip last time and would not have to improve much to take a hand in the finish here.
- Graineyhill
- Crack On Corrie
- Bee A Beneficiary
