First time on the Fibresand for this one with his sire (Medicean) having a very creditable 15% strike-rate on the surface. Saw this trip out when winning on heavy ground at Catterick in October off a 3lb lower mark and ran respectably in one start after that; chance if he acts on Fibresand.

Raised a couple of pounds from his last start here over a furlong shorter a run that showed he would be well suited by a return to this trip. Still looks well handicapped on most of his form and his C&D form reads 145; given how he ran last time he looks one to watch here.

His three runs here so far (323) have shown that he acts well on this surface although he could really do with settling better as that does appear to affect his finishing effort. May not appreciate this return to 1m4f and could get outstayed after travelling well.

Having been tried over a mile last time out where he wasn't disgraced but everything happened too quickly for him he's now back up to a more suitable trip. The handicapper doesn't appear to cut him much slack though and the mark still looks a tough one overall.

Just the five go to post but this looks competitive with Acker Bilk looking progressive although the surface would be an unknown for him (stable do have quite a decent record here). However SWIFT CEDAR has been crying out for a return to this trip and looks well handicapped on a surface that you know he can handle. Topamichi may well find this return to 1m4f a little tough as he does need to settle in his races with Jabbaar a capable sort if he were to act on the Fibresand while Epitaph still looks harshly handicapped.
