Couldn't improve on his novice form when making his handicap debut at Lingfield last time out. That was in August and he's been dropped 1lb since. Up in trip here, should stay this far, but still needs improvement.

Ran a fine race on handicap debut at Kempton in November off 1lb higher, excuses for his two runs since and very possible he could find further improvement for this step up in trip; one for the shortlist.

Slowly making his way down the handicap after some underwhelming efforts, liable to need some more help from the handicapper but neither of his two efforts in handicaps so far have been as poor as the seem on paper.

Won her only previous attempt at a Tapeta handicap over a similar trip to this, and should find this to be a workable handicap mark. She could have a more appealing draw, however.

Only moderate efforts in three novice/maiden events so far and has been off since September. Blinkers on for handicap debut and though he can do better here he seems unlikely to be able to win off this mark.

11-race maiden but has placed on numerous occasions. Not beaten far on his previous visit here and is only 3lb higher in the weights now. Cheek pieces on and he holds leading claims.

Only slight improvement when stepped up to 7f at Chelmsford last time out. Returns to this course in first time cheek pieces stepping up another furlong, and not ruled out for a place.

Well-beaten in maiden/novice company so far and therefore makes very limited appeal on handicap debut despite being assigned a suitably low opening mark.

Has only beaten two horses home in three races so far. Tough to build a case for therefore on handicap debut.

Not a serious danger on any of her efforts so far and has her work cut out if she is to not play another minor role here.

Poor effort on handicap debut at Southwell last time when finishing behind Dragon Tattoo. Could do better on this surface but still a long way off the requisite level of form.

Authentic Art (6/4), Freebe Rocks (5/1), Progressive Jazz (5/1), Surrey Blaze (11/2), Prince Consort (9/1), Dragon Tattoo (10/1), Haven's View (14/1), Dashing Dusty (18/1), Trick Shot Jenny (33/1), Rose Of Shiraz (40/1), Headwear (50/1), Mops Tango (66/1)

Verdict

Dashing Dusty has been unlucky on his last two runs and if able to improve on a promising handicap debut a few starts ago is of definite interest, but will have to get past PROGRESSIVE JAZZ. This son of Red Jazz is yet to get off the mark but has shown plenty of promise with a series of finishes in the places, and should appreciate the Tapeta more than the Fibresand at Southwell last time out. This could be his best chance to finally get off the mark, with Trick Shot Jenny also a possibility if overcoming an awkward draw.
