First real sign of promise when an 8L third behind The Welsh Paddies over 2m5f at Warwick (good) in October but couldn't back that form up when soundly beaten on much softer ground at Chepstow. Testing conditions remain a concern.
Two encouraging efforts in bumpers so far, most recently when a close-up fourth over 2m at Chepstow (soft) just over a year ago. Entitled to respect on his hurdling bow despite the long absence given his yard's high strike-rate.
Won a Uttoxeter bumper on his debut before holding his own in stronger events, but only mid-division on his hurdling bow at Taunton (2m3f, good) in March. Likely to leave that form behind in time but testing ground a concern on his reappearance.
Irish point-to-point winner who was bought for £55,000 after showing promise in a Killarney bumper in May. Could only manage fourth when well-backed for his hurdling debut at Southwell (2m, good) but travelled well and this longer trip should suit.
Looked an exciting prospect when winning by 30L on his second point-to-point start in May (3m, good to soft) and has since joined this leading yard for £110,000. Of obvious interest as he makes a Rules debut.
Off the mark in point-to-point at the third of asking in February 2016 (testing conditions). Not sighted since but certainly worth a market check to gauge expectancy levels.
Plenty of experience in Irish point-to-points, winning for the only time (3m, soft ground) in April. Sold for £9,500 in the summer and wasn't disgraced when beaten 14L in an Ascot bumper recently. Big ask on his hurdling debut.
Close-up third in Clonmel bumper on testing ground in March on sole outing for Gordon Elliott. Around 5L third of 14 at Chepstow (2m, soft) on his hurdling debut at Chepstow recently and very much respected with improvement likely over this trip.
Fancied when just touched off in a Market Rasen bumper first time out before readily going one better at Hereford on his reappearance (2m, good). Looks a decent prospect but much more emphasis on stamina now as he makes a hurdling debut.
Displayed a liking for this track when winning a 2m bumper here on good ground last spring and has shown up well to finish third in a brace of novice hurdles so far on easier ground. Likely to be in the mix once again.
Big, rangy horse who won his only point-to-point in Ireland on soft ground but hasn't lived up to a £260,000 price-tag in two runs over hurdles, though showed improvement to finish second at Bangor (2m3f, soft) latest. Shortlisted.
Plenty to like about his three appearances in bumpers, most recently when runner-up in a 2m contest at Uttoxeter (soft) in March. Likely to make his mark over hurdles in time but yard struggling for winners ahead of his debut.
Bought for €65,000 in 2016 but hasn't quite lived up to that price-tag so far, finishing third in a Southwell bumper before struggling to land a blow on his hurdling debut at Kempton (2m5f, good). Much more needed.
Cheap purchase but has shown flickers of encouragement in all three starts to date, most recently when beaten less than 5L into third in a 3m1f maiden hurdle at Hereford (good). Stamina clearly a strong suit but unproven on ground this testing.
Purchased for €80,000 after a successful Irish point-to-point debut (3m, good) in April and showed up well on her recent hurdles debut at Doncaster (2m4f, good to soft) when a 5L second to Majestic Moll. Respected here.

A decent-looking contest featuring numerous interesting types, not least Nicky Henderson's expensive point-to-point recruit Indian Hawk. He is clearly of interest on his hurdles bow but, with Tom George's yard in such scintillating form, former point-to-point winner COPPER WEST may offer some value over a longer trip having shaped encouragingly on his hurdles bow over a patently inadequate 2m at Southwell last month. The Dellercheckout, Mon Eldorado and Jet Set are amongst a host of potential dangers.
