CHAMPAGNE WEST drops in grade here having contested Graded contests on each of his last three visits to the track. The selection ran out the impressive winner of this contest last year and having demonstrated a liking for this venue can follow up in the 2018 renewal. A Toi Phil has to concede weight all round and appears to be the stable first string and he can claim second ahead of the hat-trick chasing Bachasson and the second Gordon Elliott runner Lord Scoundrel.
