Plenty of encouragement to be derived from two starts at Warwick and Ludlow. Already boasts a decent level of form and should be on the premises if handling this softer ground.
Better of two bumper runs at Southwell last time. Nicely bred and looks the type to do better once she goes hurdling.
No shortage of promise in outings at Chepstow (winner has gone in twice over hurdles since) and Taunton. Returns from a lay-off and market will be the best guide to her chance.
Daughter of Dr Massini and a half-sister to a multiple winning point-to-pointer. Mid-division, but beaten a long way on her only start in a bumper at Chepstow. Top claimer rides again and significant improvement is needed.
Daughter of Oscar out of a Be My Native mare. From a winning family and one to check in the market on her racecourse debut.
Court Cave mare who was an easy point-to-point winner on soft ground and was bought by her top stable for £175,000 last month. Makes plenty of appeal and it will be interesting to see if there is significant money for her.
Half-sister to two bumper winners, out of a 2m1f-2m6f hurdle/chase winner. Stable always to be respected in this sphere, but she showed only limited promise on debut and needs to step forward.
Home-bred daughter of Saint Des Saints out of a six-time winning mare who was placed in a bumper on debut. Not disgraced when fifth of 10 on her debut at Wetherby and should do better.
Forecasts
Queens Cave (4/5), Shapiro (4/1), Chequered View (9/2), Coded Message (10/1), Jaunty Soria (14/1), Strawberry Spirit (14/1), Oscars Little Rose (20/1), Massini's Vision (33/1)
Of those to have run in bumpers, Chequered View boasts the best form. However, she is by no means bombproof and there has to be a strong possibility that the newcomer, QUEENS CAVE, will prove too strong. She cost plenty after winning a point-to-point and may well be good enough to win a bumper at the first time of asking. Shapiro represents a stable which does well in these contests, while Jaunty Soria has looked promising and can figure.
