Not seen since June when she ran poorly over 6f having won over 5f the time before on the AW at Lingfield with a bit in hand having started 5/2 favourite. Previous form was likeable enough and she now makes her Fibresand debut after a break; sire decent enough here.
50/1 on debut at Leicester over 6f in October but showed some ability despite running green and ran to a similar level when next seen last month. Now makes his Fibresand debut hoping to step forward on his third start; sire has a fairly modest record here.
Appeared to know what was required on his debut at Wolverhampton over 5f (wore cheekpieces) before weakening inside the final furlong. Should be able to progress but this will be his first experience on Fibresand and he is by a sire with a 7% strike-rate on the surface.
Brother to a high-class performer at up to 6f in Krypton Factor but ran very green on his debut over 5f at Wolverhampton and fared little better over the same C&D last time. Now switches to Fibresand with cheekpieces on for the first time; by a sire with an 11% strike-rate here.
Got off the mark on her first run for this yard having shown promise on her last run in a handicap for her previous yard. Went well through the race when winning over 5f at Chelmsford again in a handicap but ran poorly last time out; sire yet to have a winner here.
Sire has an impressive strike-rate here (28%) and that alone is enough to make this one of interest despite a debut which saw him finish last. Started slowly and looked a little reluctant/green on that only start but better expected now on his second run and on this surface.
Cheekpieces worn last time out are now swapped for blinkers to be worn with a tongue-tie. That run which saw him win his first race was his best since his debut albeit he had to drop to selling grade. Now back up in grade and on a new surface; sire has an uninspiring record here.
This will be her third run for this yard but she's only shown modest form so far and her form overall is pretty weak although she produced her best run last time out over 5f at Wolverhampton. Now tries a new surface with breeding an unknown on Fibresand.
Forecasts
Takeonefortheteam (3/1), Magic Applause (3/1), Crystal Deauville (4/1), A Few Good Men (7/1), Magic Pulse (7/1), Street Sensation (12/1), Ideal Spirit (16/1), Argon (33/1)
This isn’t a strong event with none of the protagonists having run on Fibresand before but it may allow MAGIC APPLAUSE to regain the winning thread despite the fact that she has been off the course for a while. Magic Pulse also has some winning form but there are question marks over her breeding on this surface and it may be worth taking a chance on the Street Cry colt Street Sensation who showed very little on his debut but did start favourite. Given his sire this surface should suit him ideally and a better performance is expected. Crystal Deauville only won a seller last time and needs to show more here with his sire having a poor record here while it would be no surprise to see Argon do a little more here with the cheekpieces going on for the first time.
- Magic Applause
- Street Sensation
- Argon
