Useful in point-to-points and has won three times for this yard including a C&D win here in April. Form of that has been franked emphatically since by the runner-up and entitled to come on for recent comeback run at Market Rasen; yard do well here.

Useful on the Flat and scored on hurdles debut but handicap mark looks stiff in this sphere and he was disappointing at Doncaster last week. Yard a little quiet of late and probably best watched for now.
3
Horse silk
13/2
Respectable third of 14 here last time and has proved useful over hurdles in the past. Not won in this sphere since 2013 but often runs well and more consistent than some in here. Will be doing his best work in the finish and holds place claims.

Won twice off this mark around this time last year and comeback run was promising on return despite hanging a little under pressure. Likely to make a bold bid from the front for a yard that do well around here.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: A Nicol| T: P A Kirby| OR:  119
12/1
Dual bumper winner who looks a little unlucky that he's not got his head in front over hurdles to date. Was running well here last time before he made a bad mistake at the last but worth giving another chance to. Wears a first-time hood.

Back to form with a game win here on debut for this yard just over a year ago and respectable effort at Ayr later that month but not been seen since and trip looks on the short side here. Entitled to need this run.

Cape Hideawayp10
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Jamie Hamilton(3)| T: M Walford| OR:  115

Gained his first win over hurdles at Hexham in May but seemingly struggling off his revised mark since. Both runs this campaign have been well below par and probably needs some relief from the handicapper.

Little Brucep138
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Dowson(3)| T: P A Kirby| OR:  115| CD
7/2
C&D winner here in March and bounced back to form with a good third here last time. Clearly enjoys this course and conditions not an issue, he ought to make his presence felt again; particularly if first-time cheekpieces eke out some improvement.

Modulusv38
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: Ryan Winks(5)| T: P Winks| OR:  112
14/1
Rattled off four wins in quick succession in soft/heavy ground at 2m½f-2m4f in February/March. Was beaten in handicap here amid all that and returned for reappearance to be last of eight here last month, so a bit to prove from just 1lb lower.

Bright Tomorrowp,t29
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Jamie Bargary(3)| T: W Greatrex| OR:  108
4/1
Very inconsistent sort who won twice for Jessica Harrington. Made a modest start for this yard before a more promising effort last time but no guarantee he can back that up. Trainer has a good strike-rate when combining with this jockey (29.09%).

Forecasts

Little Bruce (7/2), Bright Tomorrow (4/1), Ryedale Racer (4/1), Only Orsenfoolsies (13/2), Applesandpierres (7/1), Nicely Indeed (12/1), Modulus (14/1), Always Resolute (20/1), Cape Hideaway (20/1), Presence Felt (20/1)

Verdict

RYEDALE RACER is likely to return to his usual front-running tactics here and he's on a handicap mark he should make his presence felt from. Applesandpierres got the better of subsequent Cheltenham winner Guitar Pete here in April and should come on for his comeback run last month while Nicely Indeed is unlucky not to have won over hurdles yet and can't be ruled out if the first-time hood has the desired effect.
