His jumping has let him down so far this season and he was disappointing when pulled up last time at Haydock. Drop in class will help but has to concede weight to all and hard to fancy on recent evidence. Tongue-tie retained.
Front-runner who hasn't won since rattling off a Listed hat-trick back in 2015. Not entirely out of form since and goes on this ground but jumping let him down at Newcastle last time when well beaten and recent profile suggests he's vulnerable.
Very impressive when landing a C&D Grade 2 here in February but hasn't always looked a natural chaser and often makes jumping errors. Fell at the first last time and comes with risks attached but obvious claims if he can put in a clear round.
C&D winner who has returned in good form this year, winning at Catterick last time out. This is clearly tougher but more likely than most to give his running and has each-way claims.
Poor run over hurdles last time but in good form over fences and won at Fakenham on seasonal bow before she was just touched off at Bangor last month. Worth another go at this level (pulled up in this last year) and trainer has a good record here.
Recorded a hat-trick at the start of 2015 but has not won since and unplaced in six starts for Gordon Elliot. Pulled-up at Newcastle in December on first start for this yard and probably better over hurdles than he is fences.
Won three in a row over fences at the back end of 2015 but has not won since. Has put in some more encouraging runs over hurdles lately but probably needs a little more relief from the handicapper before becoming of interest.
Useful over hurdles and improved for a couple of runs over the larger obstacles to win at Fontwell last time. Will need his jumping to be better here but yard do well here, he's unexposed and a 5lb rise from the handicapper looks entirely fair.
Forecasts
Get On The Yager (10/3), Wakanda (7/2), Aloomomo (4/1), Delusionofgrandeur (7/1), Baywing (7/1), Actinpieces (8/1), Shantou Flyer (10/1), Dedigout (50/1)
BAYWING comes with risks attached, as seen by his fall at the first last time out but he's capable at this level and he could be the one to side with provided he can put a clear round in. Get On the Yager is unexposed and is expected to make his presence felt upped in class while Actinpieces is a smart mare over fences and can continue her progress for a yard that do well here.
- Baywing
- Get On The Yager
- Actinpieces
