Age: 4|  Weight: 12-0| J: Jamie Bargary(3)| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR:  112
5/1
Produced a couple of respectable efforts over hurdles before possibly finding the combination of a step up in trip and rise in class too much at Cheltenham last time. This is easier and conditional well worth the 3lb he takes off.
2

The Dawn Man27
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Dave Crosse| T: Henry Oliver| OR:  110
6/1
Point-to-point winner who has shown some ability in two starts over hurdles. Likely to want further than this though and will be of more interest when his stamina is tested.
3
Horse silk
Nemean Liont25
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: A Nicol| T: P A Kirby| OR:  110| D
12/1
Made a winning start for this yard when winning at Sedgefield and went on to win at Southwell over 3m in October. Lost his form a little since then but this is easier than some recent assignments and he gets some relief from the handicapper.
4
Horse silk
Anguino75
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-11| J: J Kington(3)| T: P Holmes| OR:  109
50/1
Well beaten on first two starts in hurdles contests when trained in Ireland but outran his odds of 100/1 when fifth of 16 at Thurles in October. Needs to build on that on first start for new yard.

Dalaman33
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: R Johnson| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  107| BF
3/1
Has got his act together since joining this yard but failed to justify odds-on favouritism when second at Wincanton last time. Step back up in trip looks the right move and probably not done progressing. Has the assistance of the Champion Jockey.

New List202
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: Danny Cook| T: B Ellison| OR:  107
25/1
Point-to-point winner who made a promising start to his hurdles career with placed efforts here and then Hexham. Not in the same form at Uttoxeter last time though and yard have gone a little quiet.

Art Of Supremacy151
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Joe Colliver| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  105
25/1
Seven-race maiden under rules for Noel Meade, his best effort when making the frame in a Clonmel maiden hurdle (2m4f, soft) this time last year. Cost £7,000 in September and has first run for this yard back up in trip. Market check suggested.

Red Ochre18
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-7| J: B S Hughes| T: C Grant| OR:  105
8/1
Well beaten on first two hurdles starts but belied odds of 25/1 when placed at Sedgefield last time. Interesting runner if he can build on that and he gets the services of the top northern jockey.

Horse silk
Witness Timeh,t134
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin| OR:  100
28/1
Well beaten or failed to finish on all seven starts under Rules and pulled up at Hexham last time. First-time tongue-tie needs to make all the difference.

Horse silk
Along Came Theo34
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Ross Turner(7)| T: A Crook| OR:  100
9/2
Promise he showed in bumpers way back in 2014 finally started to come to fruition at Hexham last time, putting in his best effort to date when a close second to Wig Wam Wiggle. Won't mind conditions and looks a player here.
13
Horse silk
Bertie Blake24
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-11| J: Thomas Dowson(3)| T: P A Kirby| OR:  95
8/1
Yet to get competitive in five starts and looks a likely outsider once again in a competitive contest.

Forecasts

Dalaman (3/1), Along Came Theo (9/2), Atlantic Grey (5/1), The Dawn Man (6/1), Red Ochre (8/1), Bertie Blake (8/1), Rainy Day Dylan (10/1), Nemean Lion (12/1), Minella Suite (12/1), Art Of Supremacy (25/1), New List (25/1), Witness Time (28/1), Anguino (50/1)

Verdict

DALAMAN may not have won at short odds last time but he looks capable of getting his head back in front back up in trip. Along Came Theo has seemingly improved and he won't mind the testing conditions here. The booking of Brian Hughes on Red Ochre is a major positive to that ones chance and he should be able to build on a recent placed effort.
  1. Dalaman

  3. Red Ochre
