Trainer has a good strike-rate in bumpers overall (29% this year) and this one is one of the five winners the stable have had in this sphere this season. Won a big-field mares' contest at Warwick in good style although that form has yet to be franked.
A winner in point-to-points after running in a couple of bumpers in Ireland she left her previous bumper form behind when winning for her former yard at Tipperary in May; looks the type to do better and now makes her debut for a yard that do well in bumpers.

One of two runners in the race for the trainer (looks to be the second string) she made a winning debut at Southwell last month winning with a bit to spare. Looked to be up to defying a penalty in an ordinary event but steps up in class with the form of her win yet to be tested fully.

Yard's bumper runners are always to be respected (8 winners already this season) and they won this contest last year. Won in good fashion on her debut in the summer and unfortunate not to add to that tally since (first past post penultimate start); winner got first run last time and well up to winning this.

Had five months off and made her debut for this yard when showing improved form to win at Fakenham last time out making her previous experience count. Travelled well and showed a good attitude but would need to progress again to take a hand here.

25/1
A winning point-to-pointer she showed that she had plenty of ability when running well to take 5th on her Rules debut in an Aintree bumper. Likely to show some improvement but will need to if she is to be able to make even the frame here upped in class.

Her breeding looks as though she would be better on the Flat and she has work to do based on her debut (finished behind a couple of rivals there). Has the potential to do better bit may find this a little too tough.

Placed in two mares' bumpers at Newton Abbot and Ludlow and was strong in the betting on both occasions. More needed to get involved here though stepping up in grade and will find it hard to break her maiden in this company.

Pedigree looks full of stamina so it was a good effort on her debut to take third in an AW bumper at Lingfield (form has yet to be tested). This test should suit her better but she does need to find some improvement substantially up in grade.

Despite only having one winner in bumpers this season the yard are always to be respected in bumpers. This one won by an easy 11L on her only start so far at Market Rasen and the form has plenty of substance and she looks to have further improvement in her.

Yard looks to have taken a step forward with their bumper runners this year (well above their usual performance level). This one started 25/1 on her debut but won in appealing fashion although she'll have to step-up on that run at this level.

Forecasts

Grageelagh Girl (9/4), Outofthisworld (10/3), Duhallow Gesture (9/2), Diamond Gait (8/1), Strike The Pose (10/1), Kaloci (12/1), Lilliput Lane (16/1), Everlanes (20/1), Oborne Lady (20/1), Lady Marwah (25/1), L'chamise (25/1)

Verdict

This Listed mares’ bumper contains some progressive types and GRAGEELAGH GIRL has already proved herself at this level finishing second last time out in a race where the winner looked to get first run on her having arguably unfortunate to lose a race at Aintree the time before to the same one that defeated her at Cheltenham. There are plenty of stables in this that need respecting none more so than the Honeyball team and they run two fascinating contenders in Duhallow Gesture and Everlanes. The former makes her first start for the yard but there was a lot to like about her win in Ireland last time while the latter has to improve but scored nicely on her debut and she may well yry have some progress in her. Outofthisworld hasn’t been seen since the spring but her Market Rasen form looks very sound and she adds to the depth of the race. Diamond Gait is another that needs a second glance although her Warwick form hasn’t yet been tested while Strike The Pose is worth checking in the betting coming from a yard that looks to have upgraded their bumper offering this year.
  1. Grageelagh Girl
  2. Duhallow Gesture
  3. Outofthisworld
