Won a soft ground bumper here in January and after a summer break he was readied to win first time this autumn at Carlisle (2m4½f, heavy). Not disgraced in stronger company at Newcastle last time and can go very well under his penalty.
Only blot on CV came when falling here (travelling well) on hurdling debut last month. Won bumpers at Wetherby and here prior to that and came back well with a 2m4f (soft) hurdle win at Carlisle last time. On the up and can go well under penalty.
Won a heavy ground bumper here last month on his rules debut and put up a promising effort on hurdles introduction at Newcastle earlier this month. Step up in trip looks positive and he couldn't be ruled out in receipt of 6lb from two major rivals.
Very poor form when he has been able to complete in point-to-points both in Ireland and Britain. Stable debut today over a trip that looks too short and is impossible to recommend on his first foray into rules racing.
Showed a little ability when third (beaten 20L) in a Carlisle novices' hurdle (2m1f, good to soft) for George Charlton in April. Steps up in trip for debut for one of the north's top trainers and would be no surprise if that yielded a better effort.
Runner-up in an Irish point-to-point and showed ability in a heavy ground maiden hurdle over C&D last month. Beaten 29L by Uncle Alastair at Carlisle last time, however, and tough ask to overturn that with just 6lb pull.

Uncle Alastair (1/1), Donna's Delight (6/4), Ask The Tycoon (7/1), Sweet As Candy (16/1), Shepherd's Bight (33/1), Shtan On (40/1), Monango High (250/1)
A tricky race to call with two potentially useful geldings in Donna's Delight and UNCLE ALASTAIR trying to successfully concede penalties to the field, which includes likely improvers in Sweet As Candy, Ask The Tycoon and Shepherd's Bight. The vote goes to the Nicky Richards-trained five-year-old, who beat a some previous winners at Carlisle last time and has winning form at this venue.
