Looks capable of winning a race, having finished runner-up in a bumper here and in a soft ground Newcastle maiden hurdle last time (raced keenly both occasions). Entitled to be short-list material on the latter run and should be thereabouts.
His third in a Bellewstown maiden hurdle (2m½f, good) in August was a very good run in the context of this race, though he is without a win since October 2014 when with Aidan O'Brien. Conditions a concern and probably one to watch on stable debut.

Sent off at 12-1 but never in it on debut and was eventually pulled up in a Newcastle maiden hurdle (2m½f, soft) earlier in the month. Looking for some improvement on that effort this time.
Sole success was in a Windsor maiden when with John Gosden in 2013 but came close to breaking losing run when a head second at Newcastle (1m4½f, AW) last week. Only had two hurdle runs so worth another try. Handles cut in ground.

Ran well in two heavy ground bumpers, the first when runner-up here and then when winning next time at Newcastle. Not fluent back there when beaten favourite on hurdles debut earlier in month but stable going well and he can improve on that.
Runner up in an Irish point-to-point in May. Ran well enough for a long way on rules debut in a 2m maiden hurdle at Kelso (good) in October. Been given a bit of time before this run and sire won on heavy, so may do better than some on this ground.
Sent off at 5-1 for rules debut at Hexham (2m, soft) last month and put in a respectable effort to be 12½L fifth. Should be better for the experience, though looks in need of a longer trip to be seen to better effect.
Tailed off in a Perth bumper in June (good) and then 200-1 and a 71L seventh of 10 on hurdles debut at Musselburgh last month. Very much a work in progress on that evidence and looks one to watch today.
Won an Irish point-to-point at the fourth attempt (on soft) and handled heavy when making frame on hurdles debut in a Navan maiden in March. Similar effort over further last time and a reproduction of that would make her tough to beat.

Improved with each run in Irish point-to-points, winning two of them in the spring. Closely related to profilic point-to-point and 2m6f hunter chase winner My Old Piano and well worth a market check on rules debut.

Forecasts

Cool Mix (7/4), McGowan's Pass (11/4), Ardean Lass (9/2), My Old Gold (11/2), Felix Mendelssohn (10/1), Prince Dundee (33/1), Magistral (40/1), Moores Novelty (50/1), Hooligan Jack (100/1), Royal Summit (200/1)

Verdict

The performance of Felix Mendelssohn at Bellewstown in August was the best recorded by any in this field, but conditions are a concern ahead of his stable debut and the suggestion is ARDEAN LASS. Stuart Crawford has often made successful raids across the water at this track and his mare handles conditions and has put in two very good efforts in context, so she is taken to break her duck with a similar performance this time. My Old Gold is a very interesting newcomer and a good debut would not surprise, while Cool Mix, Mcgowan's Pass and Magistral are others that can probably get involved.
  1. Ardean Lass
  2. Cool Mix
  3. My Old Gold
