Improved on second start to win soft-ground C&D event last month by 9L, concedes weight here as a result but another bold show looks likely.
Showed relatively little in six-race bumper career and now off the track 461 days ahead of hurdles bow, market check suggested but plenty to work on based on what she has shown thus far.
Definite promise in bumper runs at Warwick and Southwell either side of a break, up in trip for hurdles bow but could be capable of having her say.
Left hurdling debut form behind when 9L second of 15 to Waiheke in mares novice over C&D recently, has some work to do in order to reverse the placings.
Head winner of a 3m Kilworth point-to-point in March (soft), and sold at Cheltenham the following month for £35,000. Held at Market Rasen (2m4½f, good) on hurdles bow in October but trainer going well and may improve now.
Fair form in three bumpers last season and decent start in this sphere at Towcester (2m, good) late last month. Has gone well enough in soft on the past and claims if handling this longer trip.
Inauspicious debut over timber at Hereford (2m3½f, good to firm) last month when tailed off. Not shown a lot in two bumpers previously and hard to make case for this time.
Couple of solid efforts in bumpers since debut run, including last month at Warwick (2m, good to soft) on bow for this trainer. Not crossed off now switching to obstacles for the first time.
Newcomer, yard are 0-15 with hurdlers previous 12 months and doesn't appear to be holding outstanding claims ahead of this debut outing.
Well held in bumpers at Worcester and Warwick either side of summer break, more called for now tackling hurdles for the first time.
Forecasts
Waiheke (9/4), Floral Bouquet (10/3), Drops Of Jupitor (5/1), Ebonys Encore (11/2), Samarayia (8/1), Diva Du Maquis (10/1), Neetside (11/1), Quite Right (40/1), Definite Winner (66/1), Kiwi Myth (100/1)
Ebonys Encore made a solid start to her hurdling career at Market Rasen and is respected with improvement likely and the yard amongst the winners this week. However, WAIHEKE showed plenty improvement on her second start over hurdles to get off the mark over C&D last month and the amount she appeared to have in hand suggests she might be up to the follow up despite conceding weight all round. Neetside and Floral Bouquet are worthy of a second glance while Diva Du Maquis could get involved on jumping bow.
- Waiheke
- Ebonys Encore
- Neetside
