Maiden has been disappointing overall although he ran well in lone start over this far in a handicap. Top trainer's only runner tonight and isn't written off.
Not run at all badly in three recent starts here with two seconds followed by a recent fourth. Again enters calculations today and looks a good each-way proposition.
Off the mark latest in her fourth start, a 1m maiden here. Step up in trip looks likely to suit based on that run so opening handicap mark looks fair.
Struggled since hammered by the handicapper for 1m4f here in October. Still 10lb higher but ran a better race latest when fourth off same handicap. Wide draw a concern.
Off the mark in 11th and final start for Sir Mark Prescott three weeks ago at Chelmsford. 6lb higher for new connections so has more to do.
Left previous form behind when a C&D winner last month at 33/1. Arrives here off the same mark so surely a leading contender providing that wasn't a one off.
Second to Teo's Music two starts back and is now 4lb lower. C&D fifth off this mark last time a shade disappointing but still makes EW appeal.
Lone win came in a two-year old Brighton maiden. Fourth in last two outings in Britain and eased a further 1lb so starts out here with some sort of chance.
5lb lower now than when 2½L fourth to Teo's Music two starts back. Fifth latest behind a good winner over 1m4f and should go well here back to this trip.
Behind several of these two starts back in a race won by Teo's Music before latest effort when last behind the prolific Koybig. Others more obvious claims.
Starts out 8lb lower than when last seen for Jim Bolger for whom he was unsuccessful. Handicap form in general poor so not on the shortlist.
Maiden of ten races was 10th of 14 behind prolific Ben Rumson when last seen. Had a break since and hood added now but would need one of them to make a big difference.
Well over a year since his lone win in a 7f Sligo maiden in bottomless ground. Beaten over 20L in six of last seven starts so easy to overlook.
Forecasts
Pivotal Connection (4/1), Miss Snossyboots (4/1), Nimitz (9/2), French Mix (7/1), Teo's Music (8/1), Lady Aristeia (9/1), Getgo (10/1), Miss Mirabeau (12/1), Shamad (14/1), Wild Shot (20/1), Cul An Ti (20/1), Vocal Activity (33/1), Jose Echegaray (33/1)
It may be worth chancing handicap debutant PIVOTAL CONNECTION with this step up in trip likely to suit and she seems to be improving at this relatively early stage in her career. Teo's Music beat three of these rivals in her last race and looks to have been looked after by the handicapper so she has a chance. Consistent Miss Snossyboots is another expected to be firmly in the mix as she usually is.
- Pivotal Connection
- Teo's Music
- Miss Snossyboots
