Bolted up here over 7f and overcame 11lb hike when winning again over 1m latest. Further 4lb tagged on which gives her a huge burden but brave to rule her out in current heart.

Not beaten far last twice here over 1m. Eased 1lb today and equally as effective over 7f so every reason to expect another good run.

August C&D winner continues to run well here over varying distances from 6f-1m. Consistent sort should again run well although others appear better handicapped.

Off the same mark as last win now despite four straight good runs. Always appears unlucky given her strong finishing style. 10lb claimer eases the burden and blinkers an interesting addition so worth considering.

Beat top-weight Timia in November and weight differential the same again after that rival completed a subsequent double. Led to a yard from the line here two starts back over C&D so again should be in the thick of things.

Dual C&D winner put in his best display in some time when second over 6f here latest. Step up to 7f no major worry despite most of recent form being over shorter but draw not ideal.

Now some 17lb below last winning mark for Paul Cole. Lost way for him afterwards and beaten home just five rivals in three starts for current yard so have to be big doubts over her at present.

Close third over C&D the best effort this ex- Sir Michael Stoute gelding has achieved so far. Since that has tried 6f and 1m2½f with less effect but return to this optimum now 4lb lower makes him worth considering.

Does most of his racing over 1m plus. Now some 33lb below career high mark after two and a half years without a win. Top jockey booking interesting especially combined with shorter trip but recent form is short of required.

25/1 third behind useful Rivellino when last seen at Laytown a most encouraging run. Same make now as C&D win in May so obviously capable but back from a break and drawn on the wing.

Now 4lb below his winning mark in July. Seventh over C&D two starts ago saw him only beaten 2L before finding 6f too sharp latest. 8lb lower than last C&D run so has claims now with jockey booking a positive.

Three starts for this yard have seen him next to last on each occasion beaten 10L plus on each occasion. Tongue-tie added but doubt it will spark a revival.

Some fair form early in the year here over sprint distances before moderate turf campaign. Back from a layoff but unproven over 7f and wide draw a worry.

Forecasts

Sheisdiesel (7/2), Timia (5/1), Honor Oak (11/2), Rummaging (6/1), Lily's Prince (6/1), Guanabara Bay (7/1), Burren View Lady (8/1), Bien Chase (8/1), Mokhalad (10/1), Fastidious (12/1), Master Bond (16/1), Lyfka (33/1), Robert The Painter (33/1), Buddha Boy (40/1)

Verdict

A wide-open contest indeed but the admirable BURREN VIEW LADY gets the vote. This 12-time winner continues to be a model of consistency and will surely run her usual solid race. Sheisdiesel is hard to win with but herself is very consistent and blinkers could eek out the little extra she often lacks to actually win. Guanabara Bay is one of several who are well treated on some of their best form but his is more recent than a lot so he rates a leading contender.
  1. Burren View Lady
  2. Sheisdiesel
  3. Guanabara Bay
