The presence of three front-runners, Truckers Highway, Ifandbutwhynot and Festive Affair promises a good gallop and that should tee this up nicely for NICOLAS CHAUVIN. The Cumbrian raider took advantage of a patient ride from the champion jockey to win a similarly run contest at Wetherby and, although his mark cannot be described as lenient, he looks too strong for rivals with questions to answer. The three likely pacemakers are hard to recommend anyway on recent efforts, whilst last year's winner Colin's Brother has lost his way since. He is the type who could pop up unexpectedly but a bigger threat may come from Vivaccio. Venetia Williams normally has one ready for this and has won the race four times since 2008. The eight-year-old was third in this two years ago and has only raced twice since.
