Drops back to a more realistic level after flying overly high since winning twice during February (both over 6f). On her last winning mark, and has the aid of first time cheek-pieces, but has to prove herself definitively over 7f.

Former French filly (6f winner) who has rattled the crossbar on more than one occasion on turf in Ireland. Makes her first start in England, and of minor interest off a mark of 75.

Yet to sample success on the AW in 15 starts (four time winner on turf), but did okay on her stable debut when a never nearer fourth to Excellent George over 6f at Chelmsford on Sunday.

Fine over this trip (7f Goodwood winner), but has been off the track since finishing last of ten to Flourishing at Wolverhampton in August, so her fitness and well-being must be taken on trust.

Has won just the once since taking this contest in 2015 from a 4lb higher mark (then with Conrad Allen). Has failed to beat a single rival on her last two starts, including on stable debut latest (cost £4,000 in November).

Hasn't won since September 2016 (7f Sandown), and built up a frustrating run of second placed efforts earlier in the year. Better handicapped now and not too far off the principals when fifth over this trip at Lingfield recently.

Impossible to knock her prowess around this circuit (50% strike rate; 4 from 8), and she arrives seeking the hat-trick following a neck success over 1m last month. Versatile trip wise, and just 3lb higher; albeit off a career high mark.

Unable to land the hat-trick at Chelmsford last month after meeting trouble in the run, so she deserves another chance to prove herself off this mark, but meets some potentially stronger rivals tonight nevertheless.

Forecasts

Magic Mirror (3/1), Groundfrost (7/2), Courier (4/1), Made Of Honour (8/1), Veena (10/1), Loveatfirstsight (10/1), Robbie Roo Roo (14/1), Little Miss Kodi (20/1), First Experience (25/1), Lady Lydia (50/1)

Verdict

A decent little fillies handicap with a number of the the runners either in strong form, or seemingly just about ready to hit form. Magic Mirror is a force to be reckoned with at Kempton, and arrives seeking the hat-trick from a career high mark. She'll almost certainly run her race, but faces other Kempton specialists which include Robbie Roo Roo. Loveatfirstsight could have more to offer after meeting trouble in the run when bidding for a hat-trick herself at Chelmsford latest, but a strong preference is for the former Marjorie Fife trained mare COURIER. She showed up well on her debut for Mick Appleby at Chelmsford on Sunday, and looks just the type to go forward now upped to 7f.
