Has seemingly found his handicap mark just a fraction high since winning over 1m6f at Wolverhampton in April. Doesn't stand masses of racing, but his recent close third to General Hazard in a 1m1f+ Wolverhampton claimer gives him every chance.

Left John Davies for 8,000 gns at Newmarket in November, and made a winning stable debut just a matter of days later in a 1m4f handicap at this track. Woeful since off 6lb higher at Wolverhampton, and now dropped in grade back on Fibresand.

A two time 1m Southwell winner (for Alan Bailey, and most latterly in a claimer for John James Feane; January 2017). Off the track since the back end of that month, so plenty to prove fitness and stamina wise.

Consistent elder statesman who retained a relish for racing earlier in the year, finishing third to Fire Jet (1m6f) at Nottingham in May. Off since, and that's a slight worry given his age, but he very much knows the score here between 1m4f-1m6f.

Forecasts

Every Chance (5/4), Throckley (15/8), Brigadoon (7/2), Tatting (7/2), Vivat Rex (20/1), Chestnut Storm (20/1)

Verdict

A compact little claimer on handicap ratings; all bar the likely rank outsider Chestnut Storm. 2016 winner Tatting returns for his first start since May, but whilst he's fairly prolific on the AW, his well-being must be taken on trust, as is the case with both Vivat Rex and the admirable Brigadoon. Therefore, the safest option looks to be the Jamie Osborne trained EVERY CHANCE. He struggles in handicaps from his rather lofty mark nowadays, but his recent Wolverhampton third to General Hazard (claimer) represents a respectable level of form, and he's worthy of at least a try on Fibresand.
