Fitting of blinkers (retained) has seen him score over fences this autumn including off a mark of 132 at Galway last time out. Has to concede weight all round on his return to hurdles.
Bumper winner on heavy ground at Navan and placed in two of his four outings over hurdles. Well beaten off a mark of 122 on handicap debut last time and steps up in trip today.
Appeared to improve for the step up in trip when off the mark at the second time of asking in a 2m6f maiden hurdle at Punchestown (soft-to-heavy) last time out. Remains unexposed and is one to note in this contest.
Successful twice on good ground over hurdles but has placed on soft surfaces in the past including when runner-up in a 3m handicap hurdle at Limerick (soft) last time out. Likely to find a few too good today.
Fair efforts in a couple of maiden hurdles at Clonmel so far. Most recent of those saw him finish 19L fourth on soft ground last month. More needed here.
Winner of a handicap hurdle over 2m on yielding ground here in October. That victory came off a mark of 93 and while she's run well since she looks up against it in this company.
Forecasts
Call It Magic (7/4), Dom Dolo (10/3), Laverteen (5/1), Ben Brody (6/1), Chatham Street Lad (7/1), Cluan Dara (20/1), Turasoir (22/1)
The step up in trip appeared to bring about improvement in DOM DOLO last time out and he can follow up that Punchestown success in this novice hurdle. The selection can get the better of Laverteen who has run well in maiden hurdles over shorter and steps up in trip today while useful chaser Call It Magic can claim third as he reverts to hurdles in his bid to complete a hat-trick.
