Poor strike rate (1-23) but has run well on both starts on A/W since joining new yard. Stayed on nicely into third last time over 7f so extra furlong should suit. Jockey's only booked ride of the day.

Won two of last three starts and went very close in between. Clearly in great heart at present and scored with loads in hand last time over C&D so 7lb rise looks fair. Should go close.

Won mile Ripon maiden for Charles Hills in June but sold for modest sum after finishing last in Nottingham handicap in July. Pulled up over hurdles on debut for new connections last month and has something to prove on A/W debut.

Formerly trained by Richard Fahey and sold for 28,000 guineas after winning 10f Newcastle A/W handicap in October. First start for new yard, effective at this shorter trip, and market should prove informative re expectations.

Bought for 300,000 guineas as a two-year-old but gelded after first three starts in maiden company. Disappointing favourite at Wolverhampton last month but makes handicap debut on modest mark so could well be in the mix.

Forecasts

Glenn Coco (10/11), The Eagle's Nest (11/4), Lagenda (7/2), Titan Goddess (11/2), Colourful Career (16/1), Anif (25/1)

Verdict

GLENN COCO was impressive when winning here earlier this month and may still be ahead of the handicapper. He should go well and sets the standard. Colourful Career catches the eye on his handicap debut despite having failed to really live up to expectations so far, while The Eagle's Nest is another who could pay his way this winter. Lagenda is in fair form for his new yard and is another worthy of consideration.
