Has generally disappointed in two career beginners chases so far including a 13L defeat last time out at Punchestown over 2m4f. Could be a different proposition dropped in trip.

5/4
Has finished second to Petit Mouchoir and Footpad in the last couple of weeks and one to consider in this company despite distances of defeats this season.

Won his maiden hurdle by 9L in March beating Sizinguptheamazon at Gowran Park on soft to heavy ground. Decent in the point-to-point field and worth a market check.

Fourth of seven but well beaten on chasing debut in a a Grade 3 novice chase at Cork last month behind the improving Bamako Moriviere. From a yard where improvement can be expected.

Well behind Calino D'airy when eighth of 14 in a Galway beginners chase before disappointing last month when well beaten 31L in a Navan beginners chase.

100/1
Not much to shout about in his two most recent runs at Punchestown and Fairyhouse well beaten a total of 151L. Others preferred.
82-rated hurdler who has shown his best form over 2m4f and could find this a little on the sharp side. Others come here with stronger profiles.

Forecasts

Brelade (5/4), Ice Cold Soul (3/1), Bravissimo (7/2), Castlegrace Paddy (8/1), Minella Till Dawn (12/1), Pakman (100/1), Select Opportunity (100/1)

Verdict

Pat Fahy's Castlegrace Paddy likes to get on with things usually but may not have things his own way if Sean Flanagan decides to take Ice Cold Soul to the front in the early stages of the contest. The pace and the heavy ground may play to the strengths of the Willie Mullins-trained Bravissimo and the consistent and promising BRELADE who has been runner-up to Petit Mouchoir and Footpad this term.
  1. Brelade
  2. Bravissimo
  3. Ice Cold Soul
