Successful twice in novice hurdles on good ground at Warwick in six starts since joining this yard in the spring. Held third at Catterick (good-to-soft) over an extended 2m3f last time out and steps up in trip today.
Point-to-point winner at Fairyhouse (good) in April and off the mark at the first attempt in a bumper over an extended 2m1f at Fontwell (good) last month. One for the shortlist with the step up in trip likely to suit on hurdling debut.
Six time winner on the Flat and a fair effort when eighth in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good-to-soft) on debut in this sphere last month. More needed today however.
Dual winner most recently in a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter (soft) in October. Pulled up on handicap debut since but remains of interest stepping up in trip on his return to novice company.
Justified favouritism when belying his inexperience to take a maiden point-to-point at Bratton Down (good) in the spring. Likely to have benefited from that experience and is one to note in a tongue tie for a leading yard on rules debut.
Point-to-point winner on good ground in Ireland but held third on rules debut at Wincanton prior to falling three out at Towcester (2m5f, good) subsequently. Interesting to see how he fares today.
Forecasts
Don Lami (1/1), Blairs Cove (7/2), Stradivarius Davis (6/1), Oski (13/2), The Ogle Gogle Man (10/1), Eurato (40/1)
DON LAMI impressed in his point-to-point and having to off the mark at the first time of asking under rules he can make a winning debut over hurdles by taking this 3m novice contest. The selection should benefit from the step up in trip and is taken to get the better of Stradivarius Davis who is another to have won a point-to-point last season. Oski is taken to claim third following a disappointing handicap effort last time.
