Classy hurdler on his day winning in Grade 1 company here in March 2014. Proved a disappointment over fences in the main in recent seasons but worth a check in the market off top weight on his first outing in this sphere.
Successful over regulation fences in a 4m novice chase on good-to-soft ground in March but pulled up in two of his three subsequent starts. Yard have had winners over this course in the past and he makes his cross-country debut today.
Unbeaten in three starts here but had just three starts since winning over C&D in March 2016. Soft ground possibly to blame for narrow defeat in a banks race at Punchestown last time out and he is one for the shortlist once more.
Finished in the first four on all five starts over this course including when runner-up to Cantlow in this contest last year. Pulled up over regulation fences the last twice but is one to note on his return to this venue.
Winner of this contest last year and ran well to finish third over this course back in March. Slightly disappointing when only fourth behind Kingswell Theatre here last month but remains of interest today.
Made a winning debut on his first start in this sphere when successful over C&D last month. He had a couple of today's rivals behind him on that occasion and he remains unexposed in this company.
Winning for the second time over the banks course at Punchestown when getting the better of Josies Orders last month. However he finished well beaten on his only previous start here in the 2015 renewal of this contest.
Five time winner in France and twice placed in the prestigious Anjou-Loire Challenge. Victorious twice in cross-country contests this year including at Lyon-Parilly (heavy) last month and he is an interesting runner off bottom weight.
Sole rules success came over hurdles nearly three years ago and finished behind a couple of today's rivals when fourth at Punchestown (soft-to-heavy) in a banks race last time out. More needed on his first start over this course.
Forecasts
Josies Orders (11/4), Kingswell Theatre (4/1), More Of That (4/1), Cantlow (7/1), Tiger Roll (7/1), Bless The Wings (12/1), Kapville (12/1), Mtada Supreme (25/1), My Hometown (50/1)
KAPVILLE has plenty of experience in cross-country contests in his native France and he can complete a double having scored on heavy ground at Lyon-Parilly last month. The selection is versatile in terms of going and he can take this receiving weight from all bar one of today's rivals. Josies Orders has to concede weight to all of his rivals as he bids to defend his unbeaten record here and he is taken to claim second on this occasion. The veteran Bless The Wings is taken to add another placed effort over this course to his resume while it will be interesting to see if Kingswell Theatre can follow up last months victory over this course.
- Kapville
- Bless The Wings
- Josies Orders
