Makes debut for new stable having won two low grade affairs off lower marks. Has an absence to overcome and needs to prove he acts on this surface following six inauspicious efforts on AW tracks.

Brighton specialist with a 0-26 AW record. That disguises some good runs in defeat, but clearly shows how hard he is to win with.

Winner of three races on soft ground this year and could be considered well handicapped on those efforts. She has not travelled well in two runs here and a trip to Southwell last time did little to improve her AW record.

Took advantage of a mark of 45 to romp home at Bath this summer. The handicapper has had his revenge since and hard to see him improving a 1-21 AW record.

Has dropped a stone in the weights since August but more promising signs at Southwell last time. AW record stands at 0-21 but this will take little winning.

Two best efforts have come on Polytrack courses and include a C&D third a year ago. Has proved inconsistent since and blinkers are now tried.

Winner at Kempton in April and is below that mark for the first time since. Current form makes her of limited appeal and it is hard to know what her best trip is.

Showed her best form for a while when a fast finishing second in a Kempton class seven contest last time. Cannot afford to get so far behind here and no promise the race will be run to suit. Record is 0-22 and she will need luck to open her account.

Yet to make the frame in nine starts but signs were more encouraging last time. Has dropped 5lb since but cannot be ruled but in a race as poor as this.

Verdict

This will not take much winning, but finding a reliable betting medium is still extremely difficult. RAVENHOE appeared to be turning the corner last time and has proven himself a good mount for an inexperienced rider in the past. He remains winless on AW surfaces but he has not contested a race as bad as this before. Bloodsweatandtears is hard to win with and is another who is yet to win an AW contest. However, he has run some good races around here against better opposition and it would be no surprise to see him go close. Flying Sakhee shaped well last time in another weak race where she was suited by the strong pace. There is no promise of a similar gallop, but she will get few easier opportunities to open her account.
  1. Ravenhoe
  2. Bloodsweatandtears
  3. Flying Sakhee
