Hasn't completed in his last three starts but won his most recent chase which he managed to finish (though that was in July 2016), would have a say on that piece of form.
Has improved to perform well in her recent races, including at Grade 3 level three starts ago. 5lb higher than when beaten very narrowly on her last attempt in a handicap and holds strong claims after running well in a beginners chase latest.
Can show talent over fences when he wants to, but the number of 'P's in his recent form has to be a cause for concern; first-time blinkers could help prevent his inconsistency.
Has shown some promise in the past, including over fences, but has proven difficult enough to win with, even for his top trainer. Needs to step up on his recent form.
21 chase maiden and hasn't won a race of any description since July 2015; has hit the frame in some better events than this recently but probably looking at a place at best once again.
Let down by jumping errors on his reappearance at this course last time out before unseating but had been progressive over fences prior to that and could well go close if continuing that progress.
0/15 over hurdles so far and has been beaten by a double figure number of lengths more often than not; tough to build a case for.
Both wins in handicap chases have come in his last three runs which is encouraging, but he will need to improve again now up 7lb in a tougher race.
Forecasts
Twiss's Hill (5/2), White Arm (7/2), Bilko (4/1), Georges Conn (11/2), Flynsini (10/1), King Leon (10/1), Lisclogher Lad (14/1), Undressed (16/1)
It was concerning to see WHITE ARM jump poorly at this course last time out having previously been progressive over fences, but perhaps that can be put down to freshness on his first run of the season, and he is given another chance here to continue his improvement in chases. Not out of the first three in his last five starts last season, that level of form would put him right there in this contest, and he can secure a third win over fences. Twiss's Hill, a Grade 3 runner-up in March, could be next best, ahead of Georges Conn, who probably won't be good enough to win this but could land a place.
- White Arm
- Twiss's Hill
- Georges Conn
