58 rated dual winner on the flat at up to 1m6f. Never got involved in a novice hurdle here last month when seventh. Suspect he may need further than this.
57 rated maiden on the flat where he was most effective at 1m2f. Faded into ninth of 13 on hurdles debut at Catterick beaten 25L. Much more needed to play a part.
Bolted up in third of four bumper races at Hexham but disappointed in next race. Showed up prominently for long while at Hexham on season and hurdling debut before fading. Should be fitter now and can't be ruled out.
Just fair form in bumpers where he was a well held third on a couple of occasions. Jumping fell apart under pressure on hurdles debut and he eventually fell at the last. Such errors enough to recommend a watching brief for now.
75 rated dual winner on the flat (peak rating of 86). Very consistent of the flat this year although had severe bout of seconditis. Switched to hurdles now for trainer in good form and enough ability to expect positive debut over obstacles.
Lowly 51 rated maiden on the flat who makes his hurdling debut here. Would be very surprising if he were to play a prominent role based on flat form.
Lone flat win a 7f Catterick maiden in 2016. Rated 80 at one point although only 64 now on the level. Beaten 16½L into sixth on hurdles debut at Catterick last month. More needed to play major role.
Yet to really build on promising debut in an Ayr bumper in January. Fifth in novice hurdles at Carlisle and Newcastle this season. Hood an interesting addition and suspect there is more ability there than we have seen so far.
Improved in second hurdle race when a well beaten second of 12 here before a close third at Newcastle latest where a mistake at the last when leading proved costly. Looks to have leading claims today and could well dictate matters.
Only beat one rival in three bumpers earlier in the year. Switched to hurdles now but couldn't recommend anything but a watching brief.
Behind a couple of these when ninth at 100/1 at Newcastle (hurdles debut) before outrunning 200/1 odds here latest when fifth. Each way chances here.
Maiden point-to-point winner but showed very little in two starts under rules. Pulled up on hurdles debut latest at Newcastle after an absence of over two years. Can't make a case for her.
Forecasts
Inniscastle Lad (7/4), Hello Fellas (4/1), Baracalu (6/1), Blottos (8/1), Desert Ruler (10/1), Red Ochre (12/1), Dutch Artist (12/1), Adherence (16/1), Almunther (25/1), Dream Free (25/1), Motley Crew (33/1), Kilcullen Lady (50/1)
There is little doubt that INNISCASTLE LAD has the best form over hurdles in this lineup. His latest third was a very good effort and but for a mistake at the last he would have gone even closer and maybe even won. Baraculu is a danger. He could prove much better than his hurdles debut showing and his Hexham bumper win by 30L shows the ability is there. The best of these on the flat was Desert Ruler and he could go well on his hurdles bow.
- Inniscastle Lad
- Baracalu
- Desert Ruler
