Romped home over 3m on soft ground at Wetherby early last month, but unable to back that up carrying 7lb penalty four days later Chepstow (2m7½f, soft). Up an additional 5lb again on new mark but perhaps latest effort came too quickly.
Returned from 370 days off with smooth Uttoxeter win (3m2f, good to soft) last month and an obviously player despite 6lb hike for that win.
Twice a winner at Ludlow in late 2014 but fleeting signs of promise amid interrupted career since. Went close in higher grade than this at Stratford in June (rated 121) but off again since and no certainty to build on it.
Winner over this sort of trip on reappearance at Fontwell in October on good ground, proving game to score. Didn't run badly over shorter since at Exeter in higher grade, capable of having big say off current mark amongst these rivals.
In good form at this level towards the end of last term, winning over 3m on good ground at Kempton in March off 115. Decent effort at Fontwell last time and not ruled out now eased in grade.
Winner of a couple of low grade races at the turn of the year when conditions were soft, well held on return at Chepstow (2m7½f, soft) on return and brought down early doors back there since. Work to be done.
Just three starts over fences but easily the best of those on reappearance at Ffos Las (3m, soft) last month in finishing 5L second behind a very east winner receiving lumps of weight. Yard in form and player if building on that run.
Forecasts
Jennys Surprise (11/4), Gorsky Island (10/3), Daklondike (7/2), Wizards Bridge (6/1), Pink Gin (8/1), Bugsie Malone (8/1), Gardiners Hill (16/1)
Jennys Surprise made a pleasing return when scoring at Uttoxeter recently and a 6lb hike is not certain to halt her ambitions for now. Daklondike would be a huge threat based on his Wetherby win early last month but he ran well below that next time at Chepstow and is now up another 5lb. Wizards Bridge looks a player eased in grade having scored in this class at Fontwell in October but it might be worth siding with PINK GIN. He was attempting to concede weight when producing a much-improved effort at Ffos Las most recently in finishing second and represents a yard in decent form. Not fitter for that run and on just his fourth start over fences, there is a good chance he'll have more to offer.
- Pink Gin
- Wizards Bridge
