Drops in class having taken on Melon and Jezki on his last two starts. Unbeaten at this trip and has plenty in hand judged on official ratings. Stable took this last year and have strong claims of doing so again.

150-rated chaser effective from 2m4f-3m. Below-par so far this term and not as effective over hurdles. Still looks the one most likely to benefit if the topweight falters.

Would be receiving plenty of weight from most of these if this was a handicap. On a long losing streak that looks likely to be extended here.

Useful on his day but lost his way last year. Remote third in this last year, but promises better having won a challenge race at Punchestown last month.
Useful point-to-pointer but yet to collect over hurdles. Lucky winner of a Thurles chase in February and impossible to fancy taking on this company

Verdict

COQUIN MANS has plenty in hand on official ratings and will probably be offered at short odds to follow up his trainer's success in this last year. His latest efforts have him on a different plain to these and it will be a shock if he fails to maintain an unbeaten record at this trip. Val De Ferbet has claims if running to his chase mark but that has to be doubtful, whilst Taglietelle would be considered a danger on his best form. It is a while since that was evident, but a victory in a challenge race at Punchestown three weeks ago may be a promising sign.

  3. Val De Ferbet
