Acts on heavy ground and stays at least 3m, which will be no detriment over this shorter trip in deep conditions. Generally consistent and comes here on the back of a 2m4f success at Worcester last month. Penalised for that but has claims again.
Very useful hurdler in 2015/16 and ran Barters Hill to ¾L in a Doncaster Grade 2 (3m½f). Not seen since well beaten in a Grade 1 at Aintree 20 months ago. Full-brother to staying chase winner and has obvious claims if fit. Stable form a concern.
Was a promising novice over hurdles last season, winning at Lingfield and improving on that when runner-up at Warwick (2m5f, heavy) under a penalty. 6-1 but beaten 43L on Exeter chase debut last month (3m) and will need more than that in this field.
Progressed over hurdles in 2016, including winning here (1m7½f, soft) in December. Jury out with regard to chasing after he raced in last of four until falling at the ninth on debut at Wetherby last month. Stepped up in trip now with a bit to prove.
Loves to get his toe in as he proved with a wide margin win over hurdles at Warwick (2m5f, soft) in March. Showed improved form on his chase debut at Uttoxeter in October, though a bit to prove after dropping out tamely under penalty last time.
Hit and miss over fences with her jumping costing her on a couple of occasions, but she got off the mark last time at Uttoxeter (3m, good to soft), when she did the job well. Nicely treated at the weights with her allowance and has claims again.

Sainte Ladylime is favoured slightly at the weights here and should be capable of going close given a clear round, though this drop in trip might just put a little more pressure on her jumping and ROLLING DYLAN gets the vote. Philip Hobbs's gelding goes on the forecast ground and won over this trip recently. He could have more to come despite his penalty. Ballydine is an obvious potential danger, though Charlie Longdon's runners are not red hot at present and after such a long lay-off he looks worth taking on on his chasing debut. The others are all capable and not ruled out if they are 'right' today, but they do each have something to prove.
