Sent off as 11-4 joint favourite for his recent debut over C&D and acquitted himself well to be beaten 3½L into second. Can improve for that run and can go even closer to winning.
Belied his 66-1 SP when staying on well to be beaten just under 8L on debut at Catterick (good to soft) last month. That was very encouraging and it doesn't take much imagination to see him being heavily involved this time.
Dam unplaced in bumpers and all the success among her relatives has been over obstacles. Nonetheless, slightly out of sorts stable has 21% strike rate in this sphere, so check the market as a precaution.

Cost just £1,000 as a yearling. Full-brother to a placed runner over 1m-1m2f on Flat and half-brother to 1m½f-1m4f winner. Dam also won over 1m2f. Stable without a bumper winner in several years, so he looks one to watch on debut.
€4,000 buy as a yearling. Dam unplaced in bumpers/2m-2m4f hurdles, though half-sister to useful 2m6f-3m1f chase winner Go Go Gallant and 2m6f-3m chase winner Joyful River. Precautionary market check ahead of this debut.

Showed improvement for his debut when a 9L runner-up in a Plumpton bumper when last seen in May. Represents a top yard that is 33% in bumpers this term, though will need to improve again to win.
Full-brother to one who was placed in point-to-points and a 2m5f hurdle. Dam also won a point-to-point. Another representing a top yard that is 15% in this sphere, and despite unremarkable pedigree probably one to check in market ahead of debut.
Half-brother to bumper/2m4f hurdle winner Westendorf, out of a point-to-point winner who was moderate in bumpers/2m-2m6f hurdles but half-sister to useful 2m4f-3m hurdle winner Free To Dream. Stable among winners and could go well.

Weebill
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Mr J J Codd| T: O Murphy
6/1
Cost £14,000 at three. Second foal of a 1m2f Flat/useful 2m2f-3m hurdle winner, who is half-sister to two other winners, one over hurdles. Trainer 1-7 in bumpers since taking out his licence and yard in form so market check suggested.

Forecasts

Doctor Dex (11/4), Rebel Commander (9/2), Larkbarrow Lad (6/1), Weebill (6/1), Two For Gold (8/1), Rizzardo (8/1), It's Buster (10/1), Multitalented (12/1), Plenty Of Butty (14/1)

Verdict

Weebill and Two For Gold both look very interesting newcomers here and good runs from that pair would not surprise, though DOCTOR DEX has the benefit of experience and after a decent debut he can go one better this time. It's Buster looks a potential danger if as effective on better ground, while Rebel Commander is an obvious concern in opposition, but will need to have improved for his break to bolster Nicky Henderson's already excellent strike rate in this discipline.
