3/1
Very useful hurdler last season who impressed on chase debut at Galway in October before disappointing at Punchestown last time having been sent off a short price favourite. Could bounce back here off top-weight.

Thunder And Rosesp,t230
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-10| J: Ms L O'Neill(5)| T: M F Morris| OR:  145| CD
10/1
C&D winner in the past but now without a win since taking the 2015 Irish Grand National. Plenty to prove having been off since the same race this year (finished fourth).

Mall Dinit34
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-8| J: Mark Walsh| T: P G Kelly| OR:  143
5/1
A long way behind stablemate Presenting Percy at Galway last time but is capable of a better showing than that, especially with this step up in trip.

Bless The Wingsp,t28
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-4| J: Keith Donoghue| T: G Elliott| OR:  139| CD
20/1
Has made a habit of finishing second in big handicap chases over these sorts of trips, but just 2lb higher than when second in the Irish Grand National in April and is one for the shortlist.

Wounded Warriorb7
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade| OR:  138
25/1
Would be right there on the best of his form but has been poor this year and a big revival is needed in order for him to threaten.
6
Horse silk
7/1
Made a fair start to his career over fences but a long way behind Presenting Percy last time and needs to improve dramatically for this step up in trip.

Retains ability despite his advancing years, was ran a very good race to be second in a Grade B handicap when last seen. Just 3lb higher on his return to fences and is of interest.

Fine Theatreb17
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: D J McInerney(5)| T: P Nolan| OR:  133| C
10/1
Relatively lightly-raced for his age and ran a good race in third at Clonmel last time over hurdles, but slight concern that he has done all his winning over 2m4f.

He Rock'sb,t7
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: D F O'Regan| T: S J Mahon| OR:  125

Should enjoy the conditions but overall strike-rate hardly encouraging and beaten 34L when racing prominently in the Troytown off 1lb higher last week.

Horse silk
Icantsay7
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-2| J: Danny Mullins| T: J P Ryan| OR:  123
25/1
A winner of a much weaker contest at Navan last month but subsequently finished down the field in the Troytown and needs to do better here just a week on from that defeat.

Undressedt28
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-2| J: Phillip Enright| T: M Hourigan| OR:  123
20/1
Hinted at a return to form at Cork last time following some poor efforts and should enjoy the trip/ground, but needs to convince he is back to his best.
12
Horse silk
Poormans Hill7
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  121
8/1
Highly progressive chaser over recent months who went within a neck of completing a five-timer for this trainer, and ran creditably in the Troytown last week.
13
Horse silk
Une Lavandiere28
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-10| J: J M Moore| T: N Meade| OR:  117
12/1
Fair form over fences so far but needs to improve on her jumping from a fall at Cork last time to have any chance in this highly competitive affair.

Horse silk
Some Dramap,t29
Age: 10|  Weight: 9-10| J: Robbie Colgan| T: D A McLoughlin| OR:  117
12/1
A winner at Sligo in September, but that level of form not good enough for him to win here, especially when considering jumping errors the last twice.

Carrigeen Acebop,h17
Age: 9|  Weight: 9-10| J: Miss E A Lalor(5)| T: R H Lalor| OR:  117
25/1
Has done most of her racing in point-to-points, though not disgraced when chasing under rules but needs a big improvement on recent hurdles form.

Horse silk
Anseanachai Clistep29
Age: 9|  Weight: 9-10| J: D Robinson(5)| T: R McNally| OR:  117| D
20/1
Beaten 10L by Poormans Hill at Down Royal last time, and reversing that form made no easier by him racing 6lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Presenting Percy (3/1), Mall Dini (5/1), Call The Taxie (7/1), Poormans Hill (8/1), Fine Theatre (10/1), Thunder And Roses (10/1), Une Lavandiere (12/1), Some Drama (12/1), Forever Gold (14/1), Anseanachai Cliste (20/1), Bless The Wings (20/1), Undressed (20/1), He Rock's (25/1), Wounded Warrior (25/1), Carrigeen Acebo (25/1), Icantsay (25/1)

Verdict

Presenting Percy is of obvious interest on the basis of his hurdles form and could bounce back from a disappointment in a novice chase last time while stablemate Mall Dini is also capable of more over this longer trip. Meanwhile Bless The Wings has looked practically waiting to collect a prize of this nature and has to be feared while further down the weights Forever Gold has the form to go close. However POORMANS HILL has been incredibly progressive through recent months, looks like he should stay this far and is taken to build on his fourth in the Troytown last week after the quick turnaround.
  1. Poormans Hill
  2. Bless The Wings
  3. Presenting Percy
