Better known as a chaser now but didn't run at all badly over hurdles at Naas last month after a break, and looks on a fair mark if he can build on that. Small question mark over this trip but not totally ruled out.

Unexposed after just four starts and ran as well as he has done when back up in trip latest, staying on to take a close fourth. No reason not to progress, trip and ground both fine and looks one of the more likely ones today.

Handicapper slowly releasing his grip, but he is trather a victim of his own doing as he keeps running respectably without winning. This is a touch easier but not hard to think he's better at shorter, and others preferred.

Only had the three starts, easy winner of a maiden hurdle at Tramore (at the prohibitive odds of 1/5) and then ran to a similar level in a better contest at Punchestown when last seen. Goes handicapping today and must hold chances.

Did well to run the classy Minotaur to 5L at Aintree this summer but in truth hasn't really gone on from that, although hasn't got any worse either. Trip fine but ideally might want better ground. Others preferred.

Good second to Kate Appleby Shoes in a Grade 3 at Limerick last year but not so good since, and reverts to hurdles after a couple of eventful goes over fences. Chance if bouncing back to best, with trip and ground fine.

Very highly tried at times but bounced right back to form with a close fourth at Punchestown latest start. Trip ideal and any more rain a plus as well. Definite chances with a repeat of that last effort.

Would have chances off this mark if refinding his form of last winter when running well in a couple of novice hurdles but it's not been anywhere near as good since then, and he comes with plenty of risk attached now.

Improved throughout 2016 and finished off with back-to-back wins at Tramore and Wexford. Not so good on latest start after a break though, and may need a few more runs before achieving peak fitness again.

Very consistent last year and came back off a long absence to run well at Navan last month. That should see him strip fitter for this, so with trip and ground ideal, looks one of the major players today.

Only had the four starts and has performed with great credit already, winning a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in October with plenty in the tank. Ran fine in a valuable handicap at Down Royal last time and likely to progress again.

Hasn't been seen out for some 18 months, so every likelihood he will need this after a break, but trip and ground both fine, so worth a glance in the market if nothing else.

Showed this trip and ground no issue when winning at Limerick in April and on a fair mark on that, but two efforts since coming back from a break have left plenty to be desired. Others make more appeal.

Was running with consistency when last seen and gained a deserved success at Kilbeggan in August. Trip fine but the question mark is this ground, with best form coming on better ground.

Forecasts

Out Of The Loop (5/4), Camelia De Cotte (7/1), Nobody Home (8/1), Benkei (8/1), Our Boy Boru (8/1), Hardback (10/1), Sanibel Island (12/1), A Great View (16/1), The Green Lady (16/1), Jimmy Breekie (20/1), Ice Cool (25/1), Sound Money (33/1), Abbey Magic (33/1), Turfmans Daughter (33/1)

Verdict

OUR BOY BORU shaped as if retaining all his ability at Navan and with that under his belt, should come on plenty for it and can get back to winning ways. Camella De Cotte falls into the "could be anything" bracket but probably won't represent much value and is worth opposing for the win. Hardback is likely to keep progressing and can go close, and along with Benkel, is worth consideration.

  2. Hardback
  3. Camelia De Cotte
