Decent handicapper of hurdles who has made a good start over fences, going close at Worcester and winning at Leicester (2m, good to firm) last time. Has won on soft ground and has strong claims of defying a penalty to follow-up.

Began last season showing plenty of promise over hurdles, but out of sorts since the turn of the year and well beaten in both starts over fences in the past couple of months. Very tough task ahead of him here on that form.

Scored here over hurdles (2m7f, soft) in February and equalled that despite a defeat next time. Found wanting at the highest level at Aintree in April and now tries chasing. Chase success in pedigree and in good hands to make a competitive debut.

Goes well with cut in the ground and not lots to find with a couple of these on his hurdling form. Made a nice enough debut over fences at Carlisle in October, though not as good over 2m4f last time. Needs to up his game now dropped in trip again.

Tommy Silver (8/11), Testify (2/1), Town Parks (8/1), Kimberlite Candy (16/1)

Verdict

Tommy Silver has some invaluable winning form to his name over fences and now tries to defy a penalty to follow up his Leicester win. He may do so, but TESTIFY does not have much to find on ratings and with Donald McCain's team in cracking form he could make a winning debut over fences. Town Parks looks next best.
