Christmas Racing Festival 26th-29th December Handicap Hurdle (80-123)

On a very attractive mark just now seems to have lost the winning habit and been struggling to find his feet in handicaps. Won't mind any give underfoot but needs to recapture some of his old spark.

Better hurdler than a chaser and at least holds Draycott Place on recent form. Still 3lb higher than his last winning mark but has conditions to suit and would be dangerous to ignore.

Won well over 3m here last year but only lightly raced since. The handicapper does seem to have his measure and, given this is a significant drop in trip, this looks a stiff ask first time out after his summer break.

Likes Navan but ran no sort of race on his recent return to action at that course last month and comes here with a bit to prove. Likely to strip fitter for the run but others more appealing.

Been struggling over both hurdles and fences of late and seemingly not as good as he once was. Its been three years since he last won and recent evidence doesn't really suggest he can turn back the clock.

Won over fences at Galway in October and has to be of interest given that she's leniently treated in comparison to her chase rating. However, the filly is 1-from-28 in this sphere, so limitations are there to see. Needs everything to go her way.

Caused a surprise when winning at odds of 33/1 at Tramore last August but soon reverted to type and only seen once since (when disappointing at Clonmel). Has a long absence to overcome and make limited appeal.

Paid the price for a brace of wins in September with a stone hike in the weights. Plenty to prove after a disappointing effort from this mark last time. faces another stiff test here.
