Promise in bumpers before winning both his starts over hurdles. Has to carry a double penalty in a fair race, but is clearly talented and has to go on the short list.
Landed a Ludlow bumper and returned to that track to score on his hurdling debut. Promising individual who looks to have a future and is likely to be thereabouts despite competing in stronger company.
Pulled up on hurdling debut, but stepped up on that when fourth of eight over 2m7f at Bangor last month. Drop in trip may help, but he will need to find extra to get involved in the finish.
By Mahler out of an unraced Turtle Island mare, he is a second foal who cost £4,500 as a three-year-old. No show when last of 10 at Bangor on debut and is best watched until showing more.
Fair Flat performer who was making his debut for this stable when fifth of nine on his hurdling bow at Uttoxeter. Should be wiser for the experience, but has something to find.
Bumper winner who has gradually been getting his act together over hurdles and ran well to finish third in a fair novices' hurdle at Kempton last time. Further improvement would see him in the shake-up.
Point-to-point winner who was last of five on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter. Ought to be capable of better, but needs to take a big step forward.
Little promise in two bumpers and a hurdle outing. This slightly better ground might help, but he can only be watched for the time being.
Only hints of promise in a couple of bumpers, but shaped well to be second to a promising sort on hurdling debut at Worcester. Can improve again and is an interesting contender.
A €13,500 foal who was sold for €21,000 as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to a point-to-point winner. Made a respectable hurdling debut when seventh of 14 at Wetherby, but needs to improve if he is to get involved.
Milan gelding who fetched €30,000 as a three-year-old and is a brother to a point-to-point winner. Signs of ability in a bumper at Newbury and connections waste no time in switching him to hurdles.
Forecasts
Enniscoffey Oscar (6/4), Dandy Dan (5/2), My Charity (9/2), Talkischeap (11/2), Bardista (25/1), Stormy Milan (33/1), Captain Peacock (33/1), Minella Whisper (100/1), Outnumbered (200/1), Mission Trio (200/1), Brights Park (200/1)
Talkischeap is of obvious interest given his record of 2-2 over hurdles, but he has a double penalty to shoulder and might be vulnerable to the hurdling maidens, ENNISCOFFEY OSCAR and My Charity. The selection improved to finish third to a couple of promising types at Kempton last time and can take another step forward. Dandy Dan is also afforded maximum respect following his wins in a bumper and novice hurdle.
- Enniscoffey Oscar
- My Charity
- Talkischeap
